Not an assumption. The producer tweeted and said that it is the same system that they used for DMC4:SE. You could be right about the demo not being representative of the final product but it isn't helping anyone progress in the demo itself. Orbs are used before missions and the demo only consist of one and all the possible menus where orbs would be spent are closed off in the demo.
If you played DMC4:SE then you kno that there won't be a "mad grind" to get orbs. This is set up the same way as that. Look at the results from the demo play throughs at Gamescom. People that sucked still got a high amout of orbs.
I've played them all. They are all made to be played multiple times. If someone doesn't want to do that and wants everything on the first go round, then it's an option for them. But the majority of the people waiting for this game know what they are getting into and enjoy playing the game over and over. Most people won't even pay attention to the MTs. They are there for the people that suck without Auto Mode active.
They are the exact same. Well..... except the proud orbs. They gone.
They put in the option to buy orbs just like in DMC4:SE.
Seriously tho. They keep pulling things out of thin air like "it'll be more grindy" or "now it's pay to win". DMC has always been grindy. You never have been able to unlock everything in one play through. And now game that isn't competitive can be accused of pay to win anyway.

No. This genre has been severely lacking for a good number of years now. People like me that love these types of games have been dieing for something combo heavy to dive into. Would love to see another Ninja Gaiden soon as well.

First one for me was Devil May Cry. That game blew my mind in so many ways including graphics. Next one after that was seeing my friend play RE4 on the Game Cube. Looked amazing.

To be fair, the first game was heavily influenced by the west. Dante himself was actually based a lot on the characrer Blade in the movie. But I completely agree with what you mean tho. I was so glad when Keiji Inafune left the company because of his push for westernization.
