It's depend on the credit card as far as I heard.
For example, ppl in Japan having a master card can buy US PSN games. ppl having VISA cannot buy it, though. I'm not sure. Anyway, you can try at least.
However, buying JPN online game means the game will try to make a match through JPN server and to JPN players. You may get huge lag. The game may be not playable. So, buy it if you understand such difficulties and still want to give it a try.
Regarding to them, "it's totally average." Should an average game score 5 out of 10? I thought more...
Anyway, I wish they could read Japanese. The story is wonderful if they could understand it. Otherwise, it should be a boring adventure game. It's more like text adventure game since the developer wrote most story in text using comic book style.
I believes only Europe and US stores get the demo. Japanese site will not get the demo since SCEJ never released a demo that is not translated into Japanese, sadly.
So, I guess Europe store will get the demo first. Then, US store will follows.

It's better to see play videos on youtube. You will see how it become faster and faster. Once you clear 5 planets, the game starts from 1st planet again with much faster asteroids. It's soooo fun. ;-)

I'm in Japan and bought Folklore here. Picuture is really nice. It has several pre-rendered movie scenes in the game. It's jaw dropping quality. I've never seen something like this in a game. It's BD movie quality.
Game play is also fun. To follow story lines, it doesn't take long time and just fun. If you start unlocking all monster features, it becomes a real fun and time consuming RPG. hehe.

1.81 is released in Japan today. It fixes 1) RGB full problem and 2) PS game sound problem with upscaling. :)
It still doesn't upscale PS2 progressive mode games, though.
You guys know what date was a previous release date of HS on Famitsu and SCEJ? It was 2007 Spring. Few weeks ago, finally SCEJ made their strange decision to change the release date from 2007 Spring to 2007. Then, Famitsu folowed on. So, the current release date of HS in Japan is just 2007. Nothing is delayed in my sense.

Why 360 dominates over PS3 on amazon.co.jp?
The reason is simple. Most of local game stores in Japan are not selling 360 games anymore since Japanese didn't buy 360 games in the past one year. Fact is 360 users have to buy their game from amazon, but PS3 users are not.
I don't see 360 ad these days in Japan. What I remeber as a 360 ad is the blue dragon ad. At that time, TV showed the ad very often and many Japanese bought 360 and blue dragon combo. Now, it's over.
Downloaded and played. It's nice action RPG. The game has 100 monsters. We capture them to use their ability for the fight. Moreover, each monsters have their features (3 to 4 for each) and gain more control (less MP, more combo, more power). Sounds like tons of gameplay for gamers. :)
Key assigns are:
L analogue: movement
L direction pad: camera (90 degree)
R analogue: camera
4 action buttions: can assign any of ID captured monster and summon ...
One night at the Internet Cafe is like $12. A night in a cheapest hotel in Japan is like $25. A rent fee for an apartment is like $400 a month, but need about $600 for security deposit. Japanese buy iPod, Dell, IBM, etc. Japanese buy whatever if it is reliable. XBOX is not reliable what Japanese expect as a console.
Foe example, Nintendo 64 was hard to break even kids bang it. Or, PS3 can run over 3 months without any suspend while calculating folding@home.
Reliable, it's one of keys in Japan. Above car example points the same. Japanese car is reliable. It's what Japanese want.
