I did this fan mod to my original Xbox because I swapped out the HD for a bigger and faster HD (faster HD = higher operating temp). My Xbox has been sounding like a vacuum ever since but it runs flawlessly for hours on end.
Using foil to direct airflow kinda seems like a bad idea though. Personally, I'd try to find something non-metallic for that purpose.

C'mon, let's at least TRY to be open-minded. I think it's way too early to call this one. How was the 360 doing at the same point in its lifespan comparatively (keep in mind, there were no nextgen competitors for the 360 back then)? The PS2 has been strong for a LONG time, so we can all expect Sony to try to duplicate that successful longevity.
On the other hand, the 360 has an amazing online service and a headstart in terms of sheer number of games.

Please provide evidence to support your claim. Which 3rd-party devs are Nintendo losing, and is this enough developers to justify a seemingly-loaded statement such as "dropping like flies"?
I know that new games studios (Jet Black) and even divisions of current game studios (EA) have been created to focus on Wii development, but I'd also like to hear the flipside if indeed you speak the truth.
Last time I checked, my Xbox 1 plays DVDs, as does my 2 other DVD players and 2 computers.

Perhaps the cost of development for the PS3 and 360 is higher than Tecmo deems necessary to put into a game.

Point being: Graphical quality isn't determined solely by Mhz or whichever single metric you choose to define how "powerful" a GPU is. Each system has its own strengths/weaknesses, and rendering capability is no exception. It's like comparing apples to oranges just because both were shoved down your throat by your parents when you were a kid at one point or another...

While the Wii will have online multiplayer soon enough, I do feel that the 360 will always have the strongest online multiplayer functionality. Xbox Live is an excellent piece of software and is a huge selling point for the 360. On the other hand, the Wii has a wider audience but I don't know if a significant portion of that audience will participate in online gaming.

Saying that the Wii's graphics are the best that they'll ever be is entirely different from saying that they'll never be as good as the PS3 or 360's. It's obvious that the Wii will never achieve the graphical quality of the PS360, but every console sees graphical improvements over its lifespan. I just can't see how you can comfortably say that the Wii's graphics aren't going to get any better than how they are now, given that the system is so young.

Wow, I was beginning to think I was the only one on this site that actually does something other than gaming in my freetime. My monthly gym membership costs about what it'd cost me to buy a used Wii game every month ( < $45), but it's definitely worth more than any game that could ever be released on any console.
Explain your non-biased basis for that statement and why that logic doesn't also apply to the PS3 and/or 360. Feel free to cite historical examples of consoles whose graphics did not improve after having only been on the market for 6 months.
I don't really consider myself a hardcore gamer but I still play Zelda or Wii Sports every other day for about 30 mins. A few hours on the weekends. About 3 times a week, my girl and I will play Rayman or Monkey Ball for about an hour and a half or fiddle w/ the Everybody Votes and News channels. We host an occasional Monkey Ball tournament once every month or so.
