I like Nintendo's comment about "Togethor Alone" but im unsure has to how the Wii U plans to change any of that. It appeared to me to behave exactly like any other console in that regard, it has multiplayer features and couch co-op features like everything else.

I'm already a fan of the built in Game FAQ's although I'm a little nervous as to how that will integrate into my single player experiences. I'd prefer online functions to be as far away f...

They are both equally great although both very different even though they share a third person shooting mechanic. I personally believe both are stunning games. Although I'm sure everyone will prefer one or the other.

The use of the logo is just a nod to the brand. Using Xbox 360 would feel out of place in a futuristic setting. Nokia for example in the new Star Trek film had a mock futuristic phone for placement.

Also I highly doubt any future Xbox would carry branding so blatantly similar to the current Xbox sphere and lettering.

I personally believe very few special, hardened, legendary etc editions are ever worth the cost. These editions are really only for the most dedicated fans with a lot of spare income. The price tags don't come close to reflecting the actual content in the box and these editions of games are created by developers and publishers solely because they are very easy ways of making some extra cash.

What makes this worse is that his voice is not at all suited for the character.

I entirely agree, the technology allowed for some stunning facial detail in game but I still feel the Naughty Dog (capture all at once) methodology is best.

Actually having your actors play out a scene togethor, recording dialogue and movement simultaneously on a set not only makes the in game body actions and voice match up but also allows actors to play off each others performances.

L.A.Noire had some stunning acting that was let down by the sense that the ...

Quite simply Microsoft go where the audience is. With the launch of the original Xbox and 360 they needed the core market to make the platforms a success. So they create Xbox Live, launched early and put money into exclusive core titles.

Sony and their arrogance lost them a lot of sales early on as Microsoft appeared to be on the same page as the core about what gaming should be.

What Kinect has proved is Microsoft don't share a vision of gaming with the ...

At first I wasn't too annoyed by the service outage. Its free and I don't expected PSN to be up all the time. This far into an outage though and Sony are still sketchy on the cause it becomes a little frustrating, especially when its a long weekend and I've finally got the time to grab a game or two. Hopefully it will be back up soon, complaining won't make it come back any quicker. Sony know they're loosing money because of it, that's enough of an incentive for them I...

I think the majority of people who play shooters are among some of the most casual gamers there are. They only play the one genre (the shooter more often then not) they aren't hugely involved in gaming culture and community and they will play really on weekends for a few hours with friends. Just because the game involves guns doesn't really mean people who play it are core gamers.
Core gamers in my eye's are the people who keep up with gaming culture, play a vast selection...

@Quagmire
I'm glad i'm wrong it would be silly to want a game to be bad and yeh "my mama" did teach me to not judge a book by its cover but sadly I dont have £40 worth of disposal income to spend on a game thats demo I didnt like.

To be more specific actually I felt like the platforming was way too hand holding. It was near impossible to die and also felt really awkward to me when controlling it. Also I wasn't much a fan of the graphic styl...

Im going to be honest as to why I didnt buy it although from all ive heard it was a good game. The simple fact was that after playing the demo it felt like a cheaper, sci-fi version of uncharted. Im quite possibly wrong but the demo did turn me off when i didnt feel like the game had its own strong sense of identity.

Fair point but everyone likes variety and even as a big Halo fan myself I think Microsoft could slow down on the Halo's for a while, to bring out something different for Xbox. Id most definitely like a few new IP's for the platform. The money they spend on making more Halo games is money not spent on other, newer IP's in my mind. Pretty confident that the 343 industries Halo title will be a good one though with the team they have been largely Halo buffs and ex bungie members.

As gamers we happily play games that depict terrorist organization which brutally enslave and kill hundreds of people a year and take no moral objection but as soon as a child crosses an age boundary for a game we take issue. There is something wrong here

I understand why large games use review events but I feel they can seriously damage a reviewers opinion of the game if they didn't feel like much that day. Good on edge for standing by their guns and not releasing a review till they have played it enough to form an opinion.

I really dislike that. Many of the best games ever created come without a multi player component and many of them are better for it. Bioshock 2 was no better for its online and you should never discredit playing a game for the lack of it.

I think its probably because the game has some very unique ideas and mechanics that are taking longer to pin down then say the basics of a shooter. reading the preview gave the impression that they were implementing some pretty deep and original ideas. Either way I cant wait to give it a go

The character on screen isnt copying you, your copying them. The small figure you see top right of the screen in green or purple etc is you and Kinect marks you on your accuracy to the Dance Moves been shown to you. So the Kinect sensor is taking into account the motion of your whole body but not to control an onscreen character.
