I’ll say this stuff is subjective and I never say that, but I’m just so passionate about the series playing the entire trilogy again after 12 years it still holds up which is amazing, and 3 is, in my opinion, the best RPG I’ve played, and I’m an RPG guy. To each their own, and this doesn’t take away from contenders, but I was in shock playing it again.
totally disagree. Xenoblade 2 is a good game but the combat is kinda meh and to be honest turn-based combat is superior. the story is way better, the music is actually superior if you can believe it, and the graphics are amazing for a ps2 game. not to mention it's better than any other RPG out there.
Rex is too shounen and I like they went with a female lead and the whole cast has a really touching story. MOMO, Ziggy, Rubedo, KOS-MOS, Jin, chaos, even Allen and Canaan, they all had integral parts. Even the villains had incredible stories and motivations, although there were some who did in Xenoblade 2, minus the final boss. There were party members in Xenoblade 2 that fell by the wayside, like that woman who dressed like a man. She didn't have much of a story at all. And it's not ...
It's definitely good no doubt, but it's like Xenosaga light, same as the first Xenoblade. They should just make a Xenosaga sequel with chaos and KOS-MOS like was planned from the beginning.
After playing the entire trilogy, there's no doubt in my mind this is the best RPG of all time. And I've played Persona and all the great RPGs that have come out recently, and this isn't just nostalgia, this game is just superior in every way.
@nyxus I had this discussion with Tommy Tallarico yesterday. BOTW is overrated and not a 10. But everyone says it's a 10, so how is it overrated? I can use the same argument right back at you.
@nyxusu yeah this comment was not what i should have started out with but prove me wrong if i am wrong and discuss it. I agree I made a mistake here. but I do believe it's true and it will get crucified by some, and i'm fine with that. prove it wrong though.
It's the most overrated game of this generation and is just okay at best. it's not bad, but it's just not great, and definitely not a masterpiece like some claim and put up on a pedestal.
Nintendo is a totally different animal and a totally different discussion. They've had a lot of original content as well though, and even if you count "breath of the wild" as a port, they still worked on it and extended development time to optimize it for the Switch. Company's are begging nintendo to allow them to port their games to the switch according to the latest news. that's kinda crazy. But Nintendo has a ton of really creative and original stuff coming out and di...
Or maybe we can have a dialogue and discuss why it's wrong if it is? hmm... See the points can still be valid, even if you disagree with them. Just like you probably have valid points that don't agree with what I have written, which is totally okay and I actually respect that.
I just like to engage in a dialogue, i shouldn't have put it like that. It's been a really disappointing generation though. I've been a gamer all my life, just like most of you. I lay out my points pretty clearly. If you disagree that's fine but that doesn't invalidate them.
not really. I'm pretty firm in what I believe to be true. I don't need to justify it to anyone. The generation has begun to pick up a little but it may be ending pretty soon, and if that happens, this generation has been the worst in modern history.
Also, I just want to say...I remember listening to 1up Yours. The reason why Xenosaga failed was because it was episodic content. There were so many years between releases. It was so epic in scale, the story was so good, and ultimately people got tired of waiting. I was introduced just before 3 came out, so my perspective is different. The way Episode I ended I was "wtf?", but then I played Episode II literally an hour later and was like "oh, okay". And the ending of II is...
it's crazy. I played 1, 2, and 3 within months in summer 2006 so i didn't have to wait like others. it was the waiting that killed the series I think. when I went to college Xenosaga III came out after I played I and II

whoops wrong place sorry for a reply but I'm sorry no discussion should start out like this I apologize.

That remains to be seen honestly. I love the system but it is too young, even if it's brimming with the creativity that is lacking right now.
Simple answer? No
