Well it could have been 9.8 or 9.9 but the game is just that special that I think it warrants it. It is heads and shoulders above any other RPG released this year, which is no small feat.
This completely breaks the embargo by 5 days. don't expect another game from Nintendo.
This is a great interview and some solid reporting.
Spicelicka, it comes with a code for every single piece of DLC. It sucks that you'd have to pay so much additionally for everything if you did buy it last year, but for new players they can get everything for $60.
With all the gameplay though, the amount of hours put into the game, and the quality of The Taken King, it is worth it.
You get all the DLC bundled in the legendary edition for $60. So yes, you can get all the content for $60 right now.
If you just buy the expansion it's just $40, and if you want every piece of content in destiny you only have to pay $60 for the legendary edition.
Good critique of the story. I agree that the series has gone down somewhat downhill.
There is simply so much untapped potential Nintendo has here. It is a shame that people were so quick to jump on the accessory so quickly as another quirk. For those who suffer from mental illnesses, this in conjunction with traditional therapy could be a godsend!
There's actually a ton of potential for the accessory and possible hardware, it's just a matter of Nintendo actually realizing it IMO. When I first saw it though I was so excited, and then they cancelled it. :( It would be great for their QOL initiative though.
I literally played everything besides the raid (well not all the quests) for this review and I'm still hooked. It's so good! And this is what the game should have always been. it's a shame it wasn't.
It would depend, but it may be a pain to do all that stuff again. Plus, the original version's campaign is such an incoherent mess. The Taken King just makes the game fun again IMO.
It was thoroughly enjoyable. Everything I wanted from the original version to be honest. Everything feels new.
Good read. What do you think Nintendo needs to do to stay relevant in the upcoming console race?
how is the ganondorf amiibo in the game?
Yeah it's unfortunate; I got the game late so I didn't pay $60 for it, and I'm getting the expansions in The Taken King Legendary Edition. But I think it's totally worth it based on what I've seen so far. I'm just hoping for a better campaign that makes more sense.
I played a few of the challenge stages myself at E3. I'm really excited to see what the community is able to create!
Wonderful review! Very thorough and in-depth. I must go out and get this game now!
Great article and so true.
The article suggests that Namco work with Nintendo and Monolith, not that Monolith owns the rights.
The story is fine, it's just structured massively different than any other Xeno game and most RPGs.
