Avid Express Pro is the most advanced moviemaking software, so by what your sayng, my friend's Dell (Dell sucks) which runs Avid would pwn any consoles since you could produce Hollywood level movies with it. ...such a load of crap, ps3 has had good games since launch, it's just that the majority of stellar games for it are taking a long time, but they will be worth the wait--I'm def getting KZ2 when the day comes t get my ps3, 3 xtra controllers, few other games and throw a freakin awesome party!! I still love the 360 and my pc--unlike some pc gamers, i still enjoy consoles just as much regardless of their tech inferiority to pc, games are what matter!
what computer u got? u might b mistaking the amount of power required to edit hd footage for wats required to play hd. it generally takes 2.4ghz and 2gb ram and i believe nvidia 6600 for editing, (i edit video all the time) it doesnt take as much power just to play them. I could b wrong bout some specs, but im pretty sure im right, could look it up if ud like...?
they need to get the price of hybrid disc writers that do hd dvd and bluray down to this price. though personally I believe bluray is more likely to triumph, it's always good to have backup just in case...
