I'm two days into my experience with this game. My arms hurt, my back kinda hurts, and I have learned that I can't actually punch very well. This is largely reflected in the game by my character throwing weak or off balance punches.

In short, don't believe this review, if you know how to box, this game is pretty sweet. If you don't, this game will make you feel like either you should learn, or you should never get into a fight.

Frankly,...

That was terrible. Was it supposed to be funny? Or was it making fun of Move? Maybe it was just a poor attempt at mocking motion gaming in general, but it was certainly poor.

That said, playing GOW with the Move would make my arms fall off, but also seems pretty cool for some reason.

Wouldn't it only cost $140 since it's a first party game and you don't need a nav-controller? You can use a dualshock/sixaxis instead.

The Sports Champion bundle is $99 right now. Sorcery is first party and supposedly those are going to be $40 if it's move only.

I think it's considered trolling because it's pretty obvious that PS3 has tech that is at least less outdated than Wii or 360. It doesn't magically make games better, but it's clear that at least first party devs are making use of the features. Sony may have gone all in with Blu-ray and Cell, but it's paid off in terms of the games we play.

On a side note, the last 12 months or so has seen a rise in the belief that N4G is a pro-sony site. 3 years ago it...

Considering the flak Sony gets by saying we can use the Dualshock instead of the Nav Controller, I find it odd that using the slightly heavier 360 controller with one hand or while standing and moving is a viable solution.

Sitting, holding the controller and using Voice commands and head tracking seems possible, but playing Harry Potter while using my hand as a wand and my other hand on the left side of the controller doesn't seem as awesome. Possible, but not the best...

I don't know how big they need to go at this point. I think they can release a few low level ads and websites like this, and then let the Move simmer in a viral way for a month or so.

Since Kinect isn't out until much later, they have a few months of wiggle room. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sony advertise move for a week up to release, then here-and-there until the Coke ads kick in around Kinect Launch and into Christmas. They've been doing the Subway co...

If MS launched a funny ad campaign about literally being able to "Jump In" with Kinect, I'd chuckle and give them a big thumbs up.

4998d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

I'm no fan of Kinect, but if MS had a campaign that was this humorous, I'd be a fan of the marketing at least. Lighten up kids, it's videogames!

TheLeprechaun, if you're a games journalist, then perhaps you should write an article about how childish Sony is being. Then you can write an article about how austere and mature Microsoft has been in their adverts. Like the one about the strict schoolteacher/nun who may be a hard-@ss in the classroom but loves to ...

Gaming is a hobby, it's not a requirement. If we don't like the costs, we can just take our money and spend it someplace else. On the other hand, if we can afford it and the features are somewhat worth the 4 or 5 bucks a month then why not?

I don't like price hikes any more than the next guy, but a ten dollar increase in Xbox Live is hardly a shaft. If Live was worth $50 when it was just online play and early access to demos, then surely it's worth $60 if ...

While I agree that MS is looking to integrate systems across desktop/living room/mobile in the coming years, I disagree that what they are doing is looking good. It's building on their somewhat pyrrhic victory thus far in the console race.

I thought the OG Xbox was awesome, and since it's launch even the types of games and holistic image of the box has moved closer and closer to the generic mainstream space that tends to make gaming a lot less interesting for me pe...

1) I think Kinect does give a crap about what is in your hand. If you obscure your body too much you might not register to the camera consistently.

2) Holding a loose steering wheel to play a racing game just seems silly. I guess it sorta worked for Mario Kart Wii, but for many players it just wasn't as much fun.

3) One would use "Waggle sticks" (aka: Wiimote and Move controller) because they have buttons and tend to be more accurate than noth...

I agree with you. I really like the concept and promise of motion controls, and though it's cliched by now, the Move is what I thought the Wii would be years ago.

I don't need it to play my games, but I want it, and it should help vary up the gameplay experiences nicely if it's supported through the rest of this generation.

Kinect will be interesting in a completely different direction. Actually, it's starting to look like Kinect is the ne...

Earbus, I agree. While I'm not a 360 owner, I'm glad people are still looking forward to Kinect. It's not for everyone, but hopefully Microsoft can make it something that everyone can enjoy.

Cez, get over it. Just play some games and relax.

Forza is awesome. It's got 8 highly detailed cars on the track, at once. You can paint cars and auction them. You can play multiplayer with 7 of your best friends. Forza has damage AND paint scrape effects. It even has assists that can almost completely be taken off.

Pretty obnoxious huh? Seriously, GT5 is going to be amazing. Because PD has been dedicated to the GT cause for over 10 years and have always produced a high quality product and remained relatively hu...

This is human fail, not software or hardware.

Maybe it wasn't calibrated, but even still, didn't they see the Kevin Butler spot?

You can see in the first half of the video, they are backed up and to the right of the screen/camera, so the game probably thinks they're leaning back all the time. This is user error.

He's not a very good dancer. She looks like she's doing aerobics, not dancing.

Out of curiosity, for people interested, why can't you just play music and dance? Even with friends over, why pay for this when you can play your own music and dance however you want and still have a blast? I get that making it a game changes the experience, but it just seems so odd.

This looks cool. I'll follow this one upon release. Would love to see/hear some hands-on comparisons to The Fight.

Game looks great, and the beta was a lot of fun. Medal of Honor and Call of Duty can both exist, it's gonna be okay.
