PC gaming, killed by casual gamers and bugs like these. ;)

Here come the disagrees, even though I love my PC and still play on it!

I think your perception of history is incorrect. Sega didn't censor the violence, that was Nintendo.

I've heard a lot of folks who dislike FF8, and I could never really understand why. It took me a while to like the main character (he's such an emo douche) but the story was fun to play though. The magic draw and junctioning systems were what really sucked me into the game though.

But, to each their own. As people didn't like FF8, I didn't like FF9 and even my wife loved that one. It's all good to me, as long as people are playing the games!

A very reasonable and well thought out position. Agreed.

Oh geez, here you come with your "logic" and your "reason"! LOL.

Seriously, I can see if the kids progress out of toddlerhood and still have gnarly speech patterns/problems forming words then I can agree parents screwed their kids over during their formative years.

If a game has poor controls and is a hassle to play, it's not a good game. If it looks good but plays like warmed over crap, it should be left as a tech demo. As much as I wanted to like Haze and Lair, I just couldn't get into them because playing them was a chore.

They have to release a new OS. Vista's reputation has been tarnished so badly by ignorance spewed by word of mouth from "users" who have never touched Vista that it will never be used on the same scale as WinXP.

I see the benefits of both WinXP and Vista, but since I'm doing so much with media and streaming to my consoles, I prefer Vista. Of course, I'm capable of wrangling with it when it tries to get out of hand, LOL.

What amazes me is when I see ...

Remember that games closer to release will naturally be more popular as excitement builds up to the release date.

That's possibly what happened to the swap in positions between #1 and #2.

There was no MP in FF8, either. That was handled by the magic draw system, which I enjoyed.

Well, I think the difference is that the GM decided to be proactive, had the user's info (address, etc) and the police in this individual's area took the call seriously.

Oh, and thanks for being civil with me on that last post. Props to you. Happy new year!

"your opinion is a waste of space"

Oh HO! Clever and snarky reply, my friend! However, you fail to comprehend what the article was saying. You know, the article from the LOCAL NEWSPAPER where the event happened? The one that hadn't had its fact twisted by a bunch of ignorant kids on the internet?

You might want to read it, it's a great piece of work!

Once you're done, I'll be happy to take your 500-word report on it. Go on now, get. ...

Not a farce, and you're quite ignorant if you think something couldn't happen on this scale.

Bad programming (hallmark of Microsoft) can easily brick a piece of hardware if it can't handle a specific date. Did you completely forget about Y2K (Yes, I'm aware it was a BIOS issue for Y2k)?

5628d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

I disagree. Did you see the part where the little moron broke a law by making a false report? A first-degree misdemeanor? All because he wanted something for free in the game?

If you read it and think that behavior is acceptible (including the subsequent diversion of resources from REAL emergencies) then you need to reassess things. If you didn't read it, well, start reading please and save yourself the embarrasment of making silly statements disagreeing with the judgment o...

Made easier != made them usable.

I'm not going to bang my head against the wall just to play through a game with poor controls. As much as I desired to love the game, I cannot do it if the controls are crap. So while I'm appreciative of the "effort" they put forth making a patch giving us what we asked for, they could have made it worth using instead of half-assing the controls.

This serves them right for making Lair, then crapping on the customers again with that horrible analog control patch. ;)

I loved Rogue Squadron, so WTF were they doing these last few years?

Well all the monkeys Free Radical employed had to go work somewhere! ;)

If by "wicked online" you mean screaming 12 year olds, then yes... You are correct.
