But yeah you're right. These people are making it more complex than it seems.
The 40gb model was only out for 3 Days in October thus it is not going to make much of a weekly impact (less than half the week). And even less of a monthly impact (less than 1/10th the month).
So what Stringer is saying is to gauge the impact of the 40gb ps3 look at Nov's number not October's.
Oh there will definately be a console war. Meaning the 3 companies will trade price cuts, they will try to buy or lure exclusives, they'll try to one-up the other company's features and other competitive stuff like that.
But as Konami said I don't think there will be a dominant winner like the last 2 generations. I think this generation will be pretty evenly split between the 3 companies. One company might have 40%, another might have 25% and another might have 35%. Not 70%...
When the writer talks about the ps3 he says in japan the ps3 is 'marginally' outselling the Xbox 360. 'Marginally' means just barely. That's untrue, IIRC, the PS3 is whipping the Xbox 360 in japan.

As far as Assassin's creed goes, 'idontcare' is like the anti-'MK_Red'. MK_Red does anything to defend AC while 'idontcare' keeps on saying he doesn't like it.
But I have to give you credit 'idontcare', at least you have the game and have played it. Unlike some other people (I won't mention names but you can figure it out).
Nintendo is dominating the hell out of everyone in Japan (and pretty much worldwide). 8 of the top 10 software titles are Nintendo based (only 1 ps3 title which is pretty sad).
No wonder Nintendo is the 2nd biggest company in Japan (or something like that; according to market capitialization).

EDIT: BTW, this guy (Gabe) is full of crap. The big difference is he didn't spend $60 of his own money to play this game so he could sit back and be very, very open minded about this game.
BUT if a person has to actually spend $60 of their own money to buy this game (instead of it being paid for by their employer) then people are usually much more critical and much less forgiving. Big difference.

Because crybaby fangirls where making such a big deal about what ign said about the ps3's framerates. So IGN edited the review to put the framerate difference in context.
In other words, in the edited version they say although the ps3 version has some framerate problems, the framerate 'issues' have very little effect on gameplay.
You want an example of this see below (#3, Bordello's post). With the edited version (which people will hopefully follow now), IGN ...
So what, so ign edited their review. The score is still the same, the review summary is still the same.

Agreed. Epic (the company Rein works for) built the UE3 so people should view his comments of this UE3 game with at least some skepticism.
