I'm not sure why Kharma got a disagree. Without the PS2 GPU it will be very difficult to have PS2 bc.
I got an xbox for christmas. What was the first thing I had to do? Update the OS with a firmware/dashboard patch. Grade C-. It was not "insanely quick." Xbox Live has some features that are better than PSN, but at $40 a year it is hard for me to see the value.
I think Konami is happy with 4 million copies of MGS4 sold in 6 months, don't you?

I stream Netflix to my xbox and it is a pixalated mess. Streaming is the future, but it certainly isn't the present (2009).

Both the XMB and Playstation store are setup perfectly. Sony does not need to change them. I like the fact that I can try Home, but I don't have to use it if I don't want to. I don't think I would like the changes the MS made the xbox. Why should I have to use an avatar if I don't want to?
MS made a big deal about their exclusive GTA dlc. It was promised for the fall of 2008
It took DVD 4 years to have a million seller (Matrix) at launch, Blu-ray will achieve that in 2 and a half years (The Dark Knight).

The differences are so slight that they are hard to see side by side. This is how a multiplat game should perform on each system.

These are old. @Montrealien - You will not get a 1080p FPS this generation. Just be happy with the rock solid framerate.
I will add this to the long list of gaming sites that I do not trust. It's kind of sad really.
EA makes a point to have you focus on the non-GAAP numbers because they do not include revenue deferrals. EA feels that the non-GAAP numbers give a better reflection of how their business is operating. The GAAP numbers were posted last quarter as well, and they incorrectly showed the PS3 had outsold the 360.
