Look there are two ways to look at it; 1. from a value perspective 2. from a reliability, performance and functionality perspective. I choose the latter simply because matchmaking, no host advantage and a more stable connection are paramount for me because I prefer multi-player gaming.
Jeez, Sony are still using the same infrastructure as the PS3 and can't even update their servers for regular maintenance without kicking everyone off!

The PS4 is all hype. The X1 has the most and highest rated exclusives as of now. Also the best online (value aside) if we're talking about functionality, performance and reliability.
People keep forgetting that when it comes to sales TF isn't only on the X1 it's also on the 360 and PC.

TF is on three different platforms as it is anything after that is just gravy.
Those games are nothing to boast about besides, most are better played on the PC. I got to say though, Warframe sucks really bad and ever since patch 1.37 Warthunder is nothing but 250% more grindfest. Don't think so? Wait until you hit tiers 3-5.
Why wait a whole year or more for it to come to the PS4 when you can buy it now for the PC? Besides, It will look and play better on the PC anyway. If you have an old 360 controller kicking around just plug it in and it works perfectly fine with no setup hassles.
Well I guess player vs player can be pretty scary for some.
MS aren't being hurt by anything. They have the money, the games and time is on their side. The money that MS has invested into game development with the X1 Sony could only dream of. as for the camera I don't care at least it will get used. I can't say the same for the Blu-Ray in the PS3 that I've owned for the past 4 years.

Sorry to disappoint you but that's exactly how I see the situation and it frustrates me greatly, I had no intentions to troll anyone.
People want the PS4 solely because of the hype. Not only does the X1 have more exclusives currently out than the PS4, they're also higher rated. So how does one explain this when it comes to hardware sales? Well, the only obvious explanation is hype.
Currently on X1: Titanfall, Crimson Dragon, Forza 5, Ryse, Killer Instint and D3. I'm sure that I'm forgetting a couple here.
Currently on PS4: Resogun, KZ and Knack.
