KZ:M was awesome. IN *2013* when it was released. The fact that someone has to pull a game from 2013 out as an example of current AAA titles in 2015 shows just how few there are. No one is saying the number is zero. We're saying the number and rate is unacceptably low for the system to distinguish itself in an age where every sing person on the planet is carrying a non-Vita indie game machine in their pocket.

I LOVE the Vita; but I totally agree with you. It has only reached a small fraction of its potential. People that pretend it has a bunch of good AAA titles or that a handheld that just has a bunch of indie games (which phones and tablets are flooded with) is okay are lying to themselves and are not doing the platform any good.

People need to tell Sony they screwed up: the memory card prices are a fatal flaw and the lack of AAA games keeps it from distinguish itself from smar...

I agree with your comments wrt how awesome the PSP was, but not so much wrt Vita. For one, I have tons of PSP digital content that is compatible with the Vita. I'm thankful Sony made them compatible as a former PSP owner who had lots of digital content, this was great.

The Vita is a great extension of the PSP into a new technological realm but has a few fatal flaws: No built in storage, incredibly expensive external storage, no LTE.

But honestly, I think ...

Remind me to never buy an indie game on PSN again, LOL. At this rate you will eventually get them all through PS+

Remote play almost never works acceptably for me (lag, stuttering, pauses) and the Vita always gets decoupled from the Ps4 and I have to re-pair the two. Anyone have any tips? Am I an oddball in this regard? How are you guys using remote play?

Here's the reality of it, guys: In the smartphone era, what we consider a success from a sales and software support standpoint will have to be completely recalibrated from the days of the GBA, DS, PSP, et al.

The Vita is the best hardcore gaming handheld ever made. It has a few really excellent titles. It has some neat capabilities wrt PS4. That will have to be enough. Parents are going to buy Nintendos for the kids and thos will have to compete with iPads. Adults who onl...

I'm glad this is coming to Vita since I already own one and am often stuck wanting some serious gaming (no tablet games) without my PS4.

But an insanely expensive rental service that relies heavily on your wifi bandwidth and features a bunch of stuff designed for an entirely different platform is still just more of nicety for the really dedicated Vita fans than a system seller. Sony will have to come up with either a lower cost/hour orsubscription model to make PS Now a ...

If you don't want to pay for streaming access to stuff you already own, by all means keep your old hardware and discs. This is like complaining that netflix on your Roku box is not free because you have purchased some of the of DVDs of the content available.

If it is as slow, laggy, and as expensive as onlive was, it WON'T be a game changer. So, no, we don't have anything like what most people are expecting this product to be like. If Sony can actually meet there claims it could be huge. I'm still concerned about latency but I am tentatively optimistic.

Two vitas and two PSPs can do this already if they are within physical range of one another. It's called an ad-hoc wireless connection. No internet wifi is required but it does use the 802.11x radios in the two devices.

I would assume it is an adhoc wireless connection without an ISP/router directly between the units. It uses their wireless radios but does not require "wifi" as in wifi internet access. I don't think BT has the bandwidth required.

You ARE going to buy a phone, though (this is pretty much universally true in the USA nowadays anyway), so why the heck would you NOT consider spending a little extra on one that has good graphics/speed if you're a gamer?

So... now, it's in your pocket, the games are free to play or $0.99, and you're a gamer, so, I wonder what's going to happen next...

I LOVE my Vita but you have to be dedicated to gaming to own one these days.... You have t...

TBH, with PS+ free content along with my content from the PSP days, even if the prices were cheaper, the 32Gb Maximum mem card size would still be almost as severe limitation as well, IMHO.

This is not like an Android phone where it has 32gb or 16gb of storage built in and the card is an add on. The card is the device's entire storage capacity and the much of the content I am buying is 1 or more gigabytes: AAA Games, PSP titles, PSONE Classics, Movies.

I'd say there is definitely room in the genre for a solid WW2 IP even though it is not my personal cup of tea. I honestly like the modern settings still.

I could see myself getting stoked for a new fantasy fps ala Heretic/Hexen of old. Or a horror shooter ala quake. Heck, an Old West FPS with RPG elements could be AWESOME.

Yep... FPSs definitely could use some branching out.

The purchase price of the Vita should include a 16gb or 32gb card to be competitive with other portable media and gaming devices, IMHO. Sony needs to release 128gb cards as well.

I love my Vita, but the system is stupid expensive when you factor in the fact that it needs @ minimum an overpriced, oddball format, 16gb memory card to compare to other mobile options like smartphones and ipods that already come with storage built in.

Agreed.

Also, for me personally, as a collector type person, the storage just IS NOT there, yet. My 500gb PS3 HDD is full thanks to PS+ and so is my 32gb Vita card. I literally have to delete stuff everytime a new large title comes up on PS+.

I know that there is a lot of research into streaming technology, but based on my experience with current technologies, I think streaming still has a fair way to go before it is viable as a primary method for content d...

Okay. So people who have no arms are not likely to buy the latest controller and deaf people are not likely to buy the new bluetooth headset.

While I feel basic human sympathy for your physical limitations, I do not appreciate you trolling N4G because of them.

PS Vita LBP > PSP LBP by a wide margin. So, no, you haven't "played them already".

LOL, Fanboy much dude?

LPB + the memory card are worth the price of admission, looks like a fine deal to me.
