Power does make a huge difference. Look at this gen and how games perform on the xbox one. Just .5t difference between the base consoles and games perform astronomically better on the ps4. Now jump to the next gen and there is possibly a 3t difference and a ram difference. That's big especially when it comes to performance.

There's many backwards compatible games on the 1x that have been greatly improved. Hell there's a whole list on xbox.com
