Still waiting on that waffle iron...
Oh man, Arius. First time I've ever had to give you a disagree, amigo.
Arius! Where you been, man?!
I'm not sure what is more crazy:
-That it's been 10 years or,
-That the game still holds up so amazingly well.
"Nintendo are gone, dead, buried.....they just don't know it yet."

Ah, but that's not what the op/ed is asking for, exactly:
"I don’t think anyone would be happy if Nintendo brought in some well-known writer to work on a sophisticated and complex plot involving parallel universes and a philosophical subtext of Man’s fight against religion.
"The story would obviously have to be kept light, humorous, and whimsical."

The real question, IMO, is can you do that...
Well, my book backlog just got a lot bigger. :P
To each their own, amigo. I think the launch lineup is actually pretty strong. It does lack a big Nintendo killer app, though. And really, if you're buying a console from big N, that's what a lot of people want, I think.
Do. Want.
I knew I held off on buying a 3DS for a reason...
Interesting. I still play GT4 all the time on my PS2.
Good grief this sounds fantastic.
C'mon, NOA. We need this in NA.
Great stuff, majico. Can't wait for the Castlevania article.

Indeed. And if you aren't a handheld gamer, you haven't exactly been in luck, too. On the niche-ization of JRPGs, I mean...if it weren't the case, there never would have been a dispute about getting the OpRainfall games here in North America. Nintendo didn't think these games would sell.
Oh, I will, man. Trust me. That's why this is listed under a preview, and the last line is to watch for our full review (written by someone at our site who has put a LOT of time into the game).
Perhaps I should've clarified with console entries; I'm not a handheld gamer (nor do I own more than one home console for this gen). I think the EGM reviewer had a point on the MMO-factors within the game, but YMMV, as opinions always do.
I was a Genesis gamer, but with the Virtual Console, I realized just how much amazing stuff I missed on the SNES.
Overall, I suppose SMB3 for me.
Toughest choice this round has to be SMB vs. SM64. I think I've gotta give the nod to SMB, though. Heresy, I know, but if you're giving me only one of those two games to play, I'm going with the original NES masterwork.
Sometimes I think I do some clever image editing.
Then I click on something like this and realize that I'm an abject failure at life.
The more I think on it, the more I think this may be the best game on the Wii U so far (and the best possible example of doing a port right for the system).
