A whole bunch of ignorance in this post.

1. PC's are easier to operate than they were years ago and are still improving, so stop crying.

2. The initial cost of a gaming PC is high, but the cheap games and free online make up for it. Have fun paying an online fee yearly and buying expensive games.

3. If you are not the one building a PC or making upgrading, then you most likely have bought a pre-built PC. In that case, you can get it repai...

Funny you call the Atari 2600 a success, when it actually lead to the 1983 game crash, mainly due to the saturation of shitty games. E.T. anyone?

Angeljuice, who cares how old you are and how long you've been in gaming. As evident in your first posts, people won't show respect for you as a gamer when you act like a self-centered pr**k.

My god, most of you here (except for infected and fishy) seriously have no idea what you're babbling about.

The purpose of the Steam Machine is to bring developers to the Linux platform! It's not meant to replace your damn PC or your console!

- Valve is fully aware of their situation, which is why they're giving people the option to stream games from windows PC to your inexpensive steam PC.

- They're trying to transition gamer...

Maybe I'm wrong, but I've heard that the GPU power of the PS4 is between the HD 7850 and HD 7870. The R9 270 is pretty much equal or slightly better to the 7870. So there's a tiny bit more performance over the PS4

An extra $100 over the PS4 may not seem like it's worth it, but people have to remember that this is basically a PC, so you can probably do more than the PS4.

In the end, it all depends on people's preferences. Personally, I thin...

Some of you guys seriously have no respect for these people. They're just freakin' jobs, these individuals do what they want. You think they care about competition? All they care about is doing a good job and achieving goals for the company they work for.

I'm sure to husband is happy for her to be working at ND.

It's funny how some people (looking at twitter as well) think these individual developers/programmers are supposed to be 100% loyal to a company or else they're a traitor.

In the end, all it takes is either wanting a change in environment, or better pay/benefits, or beer.

I don't disagree about the argument on the BF4 campaign. However, BF4 has A LOT more to offer than Killzone's MP. BF4 is first and foremost a MP game, the series always has been. Killzone had more emphasis on SP at first, but then they started focusing more on MP.

Two different games set out to complete different goals, which is probably why KZ is getting lower scores.

Well, the guy certainly has to pay for another PS4 if it screws up.

Yeah, whoever told me that all you need is a pea sized blob is actually correct and not a troll. I have spoken to a couple of computers techs who have been doing it for 25 years and they say a pea sized blob is still adequate.

Yes, you're correct that spreading the thermal compound produces the best results, but my point is that you don't NEED to do that. For crying out loud, I've rarely heard a case where an i7 or an AMD FX processor overheated due to their stock...

@ Nivalis

You don't really need to spread the thermal paste, and it doesn't have to be square at all. The general rule of thumb is to put a pea sized paste on the chip and reinstall the heat sink. IMO, I think the guy actually put a little too much.

@ RevXM

If you're in an ideal environment, then you don't need a wrist band, although it can keep a peace of mind. What you need to do is make sure you're not stepping on carpe...

Musicians make most of their money from doing shows, not from selling albums. Studios are the ones who produce the musician's albums and sells them. Even then, musicians don't get that big of a cut from studios anyway, so downloading music doesn't even hurt the artist. This argument doesn't hold weight.

The gaming company didn't lose that money, they lost a potential customer. It only becomes illegal when the person "steals" a license to play, no...

@ Nerdmaster

But it's not stealing, stealing involves someone losing his/her property to a thief. This is file sharing, completely different. While Nintendo doesn't make money, they don't lose money either, so there's no stolen property here.

@ Gigaguy 777

Apparently you think there is a difference, when there really isn't one. You just think it's different because sharing files on the internet is in a much, much larger scale than sharing physical media among friends.

Here's an analogy for you, you record/copy a movie/game on to a VHS/Harddrive and distribute the copied movie/game to a friend. Your friend paid for neither the VHS or game, they're both for sale, yet you claim that o...

Oh EcoSos3, you poor, media brainwashed soul. Maybe one day you'll realize that this piracy they speak of is really a description they slapped on to make file sharing look evil.

I'm sure your parents had some VHS copies of movies sitting on the shelves back in the day, maybe you should confront them about it and give them hell.

Yes, but there are also male characters that are "ideal" for the women. I agree that in video games, there are characters as you mentioned that can be unattractive, I've exaggerated about the hulking muscles part.

However, you'd be naive to think that women aren't also attracted to eye candy. Although there are an increasing number of women getting into video games, it's still pre-dominantly male, so there's more emphasis on attractive girls. It ...

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at, but just to clarify, I'm a guy. I actually don't give a crap if there's any sexualization in video games.

All I'm trying to point out is the hypocrisy of the media and all these articles about women being victims of sexualization is getting tiring. If these people can't deal with it, then they got major issues.

3859d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I seriously don't get this. Why do some people act like women are the victim of sexualization? Is it because men are stereotypically dogs? Men stereotypically drool at the sight of boobs?

Why does no one talk about the sexualization of men in video games? I guess no one does because apparently every guy in the world actually has 6-packs, hulking muscles and a handsome face, charming personality and is a bad boy. I'm sure that these qualities are almost every girl'...
