I'd like to think this is the result of AMD restructuring themselves and forming the Radeon Technologies Group recently.

That was not the point of my post. I get that pharmaceuticals make substantial profit off people who need to sustain themselves with medication due to some disease.

However, miyamoto pointing out that there's a cure for cancer is just ludicrous. Do you mean to tell me that all governments around the world are being secretive about this magical cure for all types cancer? Give me a break.

No cancer wasn't curable many, many years ago, stop talking such nonsense. There are so many different types of cancer that you can't simply find a cure for all of them. Cancer CAN be treated, yes, but it doesn't mean the treatments will have an affect and it doesn't mean it won't come back.

Our bodies fight cancer everyday, and one of the main features of our body that keeps it at bay is our immune system. This is why it's important for us to eat the ...

@kupomogli

Again, another troll who doesn't anything about Software development. With a company size of just over 200 employees, not everyone is going to catch the problems of the program before release. When you release a game to millions of players, there are bound to be problems. But why am I bother explaining this, you trolls just bitch and complain about something you don't know anything about.

@sullynathan

Go to great lengths to defend them because I know something about software development and you don't?

CDPR made the decision to port the game to consoles, and in order to release the game in a stable state in a reasonable amount of time, it's clear that some of the details had to be sacrificed to meet their goals.

If they had delayed the game further to focus on improving the graphical quality, it would have cost them mor...

@sullynathan

Yes because graphics is their top priority within those 4 years of development. Mechanics, dialogue, language, ideas, AI, content, art style, story, characters, porting (PS4 and XOne) testing, bugs etc... are all just secondary to graphics.

CDPR, an independent team with a size not as big as other big name developers, should have given you shinier graphics and shittier gameplay.

It's unfortunate people like don't know any...

@silvacrest

Yes, because it's the PC's fault, let's not blame it on the developers who outsource their porting project to third party companies. They're not the reason at all for wasting his time.

Totally agree here, I have a Kingston Hyper X Cloud myself. Not because of the name Kingston, but because the headphones are actually made by Beyerdynamic, and they were $60 CAD at the time.

I've tried many typical gaming headsets, and for the price, the Kingstons put them to shame. So many features, detachable mic, aluminum frame construction, leather on the pads, and it doesn't look tacky like others are. No wonder it received great reception.

Of co...

Like how Kepler cards were performing terribly in Witcher 3 compared to AMD? Yeah, top notch driver support Nvidia :-\.

What exactly am I denying? Again you're not seeing my point about software development. You're not beta testing a game, because the product is assumed to be fully functional and ready for deployment.

It sounds like you expect a game to be fully functional for each and every player , but let's be realistic here, that's not going to happen. For every product that gets released, there will be always people who get something buggy or defective.

oo7PorscheMGS and UltraNova, you're both not understanding my point.

First of all, for a developer such as CDPR, it's not in their intention to release a broken game, you only think so because the number of people who made complaints was big enough to attract the attention of others and the developers.

Think statistics, out of every 1000 people, 5 get a bug in their game. What happens if you increase the sample size to 2 million? That's 10 000 use...

What? No...

Video games today are incredibly complex compared to older ones, heck software in general is more complex today than it used to be back in the day. If they kept delaying the game just to iron out every bug, it would have taken forever. Every software has bugs, it's just the nature of development.

Why only have 200 people (The dev team) look at the faults that they've missed when you can have millions of pairs of eyes catch these errors, t...

Well the standard one is $35 000, getting the $100 000 version gives you moving leather seats basically. I highly doubt the bulk of cost went into computer hardware, have you seen how this thing is built? I highly doubt they cared about hyper-realistic graphics, it's more about immersion.

3268d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well, it's an arcade game, can't expect much in terms of graphics.

3268d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

The hardware and drivers are fine, what AMD needs is better marketing, it is why Nvidia has been able to get a larger market share.

3273d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Honestly? Just download it if it's available, IMO it isn't worth having a physical copy for such a small game. On steam it's only 240MB

Played through this game on regular, then NG+. Despite the frustrations in NG+, it truly is a wonderful and addicting game. The soundtrack is awesome too, I highly recommend it, especially for those who like retro games.

I don't understand this trend now where some of you think the Witcher 3 doesn't look as good as 2, that's insane.

Even with the claimed downgrade, the Witcher 3 still has...

- Better lighting
- More subtle bloom effects
- Better weather effects
- Better animations
- Better character models (even the faces are a huge improvement)
- A much larger viewing distance
- Open areas rather than bounded ones ...

Funny how these guys out for blood because of one thing, the graphics. Yet they overlook the 100 other things that the dev delivered on (reason for being praised all over the media).
