The truth is Sony is having a hard time convincing PS2 owners to upgrade to PS3. It's not a cost issue, it's a software issue. To be specific RPGs. I upgraded recently (I bought the MGS4 bundle) because I know things will get better. But in the meantime Sony is losing people to the 360 and will continue to do so unless they get FF13 vs, White Knight and others out on PS3 ASAP.
A great console is determined by the greatness of it's best few games NOT by an average of all it's games.

Hey Guys! Why blame M$? They may be "stealing" exclusives,& "bribing" companies but guess what? It's business! They are fighting and fighting hard to win the console war as they should be! Sony is a big company! They have plenty of money! They need to wake up and start fighting back before they lose everything. This was a knockout blow. We will find out tomorrow if they get up off the floor.
I am a huge PS3 fan. I don't get the point of you repeatedly posting the same comment. It is poorly constructed mindless babble. You are not making the xbots look foolish you are making yourself look foolish.
With the Nintendo Wii outselling everything at $250 and MS cutting the price on the 360 I think we will see a price cut on the PS3 if not now in the near future. Sony must stay competitive and for a lot of gamers cost is a big issue. A price cut just may inspire some of these 100 million+ PS2 owners to finally join the next generation.
Most of what you said is correct. I am a PS3 owner but I am willing to admit Gears of War was better than Resistance Fall of Man. But both sequels are looking amazing and I think to call one better than the other before all is said and done would be premature.
Fanboys like Blademask are really trying to tear this game down. Rare is a deservingly legendary company. Yeah they have had quite a few missteps since MS bought them but I think most of us would like to see them return to their former glory. The game is looking promising I hope it's a success. Why wish failure on someone? It's a waste of your time.

MGS4 is a great game. Of course David Hayter or any other writer, director, designer or artist of any kind will find things they don't like about any game, film etc. As an aspiring writer myself I can tell you only your own work seems perfect (until someone else points out flaws of course) Overall the Metal Gear Solid series is exceptional everyone knows this especially Hayter.
WRONG. The winner of this generation is far from decided. Anyone willing to claim victory at this point is a delusional fanboy. You are correct when you say MS has amazing games coming (like the next Halo and Gears) but don't forget SONY. God of War 3, FFXIII, LBP and many others.

Very intriguing. I am concerned however that in the coming years there will be greater and greater emphasis on MMO games and less and less single player games. We have seen evidence of this already when SONY dropped Getaway and Eight Days because of lack of online play. Let's hope for a future full of BOTH kinds of games..
This is exactly what we need awesome original IPs. We have enough AAA sequels to look forward to (god of war, final fantasy etc) I'm glad sucker punch is creating a new franchise.
I had high hopes for Killzone 2. Unfortunately it seems almost every hands-on preview has left people unimpressed (except for graphics of course). I think Resistance 2 is going to be a huge critical and commercial success. Killzone 2 will still be enjoyed by many PS3 owners but won't have the impact of MGS4, LBP, or Resistance 2.
SONY and MS can win over wii gamers by consistently delivering far superior titles to anything nintendo has to offer, not with a cheap copy of the wiimote.
I think Metal Gear Solid and Gears of War are great games. To go out of your way to insult the competition is childish. Make the best damn game you can and Shut up. PERIOD.
