I'm a fan of esports and I don't consider them athletes. Same goes for the examples I listed above. If people are too stupid to distinguish a physical sport from on that isn't, I have lost all faith in society. There is a reason they put the letter E in front of the word sport. It's to differentiate it from a traditional sport. But I guess people feel threatened with things they don't understand.
esport = competitive gaming. It is just a categorization. If people are to stupid to see that then I give up.

Why are people so upset about the semantics of what it should be called? It is a game that is played competitively just like any other sport the only difference is the athletic characteristics.
Neither is chess, darts, billiards, poker, shooting, etc. Whats your point?
Just because it isn't a tradition athletic sport doesn't mean it doesn't have a competitive aspect to it that many find entertaining.

What they don't tell you is that these mouse peripherals just emulates the analog controls, it is not true 1:1 movement. So no matter how fast you can aim with a mouse it will still be limited by the max speed the console games analog input will allow.

Well seeing as though Mafia 2 was set in the late 40's, early 50's it would make sense. Also the cars in the image look like they're from the 60's-70's.
Remake, Remaster, Definitive, Collection. They're all just designed to maximize profit with minimal cost and man power.
Sure it's more expensive than a real car, but good luck getting that real car to all the great racing locations around the world.
Game looks great and fun. They finally showed some game play mechanics which look good. I think the biggest thing this game has to overcome is its own hype. Many people have no idea what the purpose of this game is and will be disappointed its not what they thought it was.
The only reason they wanted to be considered athletes by the US government is to expedite the visa process to make it easier to travel to competitions. But I guess you believe anything the government says.
