If you had any concept of the original it was hard not to be hyped (although I actually prefer HL1). Considering that the game was delayed nearly 2 years(?) it was impressive enough, but had it been released when it was originally scheduled I think we would look back on it more fondly. It should have came out at near the end of the PS2/Xbox era, not at the beginning of the next gen.
LMAO. Do we really need to make a story out of every Microsoft customer who has a bad experience? This just in: Microsoft takes away Xbox owner's B-Day!
I don't care, and frankly these articles are a waste of time. Also, PC = Master Race!
Never realized this. Not sure if it's all that significant but kudos to Naughty Dog?
No, the Chinese actually manipulate their currency to make sure it is valued less then the American dollar because they are shady like that. And regardless of the actual value of a dollar the North American market is still one of the biggest and most profitable in the world. Just ask all those Japanese gamers waiting for the PS4 to launch.
*crosses fingers for a post-Christmas miracle*
It should be changed, it's blatantly misogonystic and people have a right to be offended. If games want to be taken seriously as 'art' than they should be subject to the same critisisms. What I find most toublesome is the callous disregaurd by the devs, do people really need more fodder when it comes to argueing over videogames as a negative influence. I mean, look at all of you people, half of you don't even flinch or understand why this is offensive. If my gf were to walk in...
Why is it always about the graphics with you guys???/rhetorical
Last gen's launch graphics weren't very impressive either. If you bought a luanch console to play Resistance or Perfect Dark that's your bad. I'll wait for at least one killer app to come out to justify my purchase.
This article was GREAT SUCCESS!
Even though I feel the latest installment is the weakest since part 4 revolutionized the franchise, CoD is still an excellent game. I think most people are just mad because they feel like a lot of games try and copy it (not CoD's fault) and they have been a bit lazy about developing a new engine.
IMO, 3-D has greater implications for gaming than it does film, although in its current state it will never fully realize it's potential. You have to re-imagine the way games are experienced; it's not good enough just to slap 3-D onto a game to make it more flashy. I'd like to see 3-D implimented in a way that actually affects gameplay mechanics. Imagine playing a racing game where you can view objects in your peripheral view, read turns and what not without totally taking your ey...
This game looks like super mario galaxy with guns. Me likey.
This game is going to own my soul
Probably the weakest installment of the series since the first modern warfare, but still enjoyable.
Just let me sell my weapons this time! And maybe throw in a horse. Day 1.
Karl Urban. He has a great sense of wit as seen with his portrayal of Bones in the Star Trek movie.
Steve Zhan. While primarily thought of as a comedic actor, he's shown he can also handle serious roles as well.
LMAO, this article is straight out of 2006. 4 years and we're still talking about the same damn things, making the same points.
I knew something was up - MS has a void in their lineup next year. What could they possibly release, they've already released one title from each of their major franchises within a year.
You have to review art for what it is, not what it isn't. That being said, a review is still an opinion, no matter what way you cut it, although it should be based on some facts. The IGN review of LoS seems highly biased to me - they marked the game down for being 20hrs long. How is that a bad thing? And they only gave it an 8.0 for sound? The soundtrack to this game is simply epic. Who cares about some bad voice acting - did they totally ignore all the stale dialogue in Halo Reach when t...
This game could really be great if they add co-op.
Every game has it's breaking point - where having too many online players detracts from the experience. When they started adding 5 on 5 matches to Gears of War that's when I lost my interest.
