Neat! I haven't played this one yet. Sounds like a good excuse to pick it up.
@TheCommentator
I'm not spinning or trying to spin Microsoft's stance as bad. The shift is good, I'm merely pointing out the irony of timing since the tables have turned.
For the record, I want cross-platform play.
@Septic
Let's not forget... Sony was open to this in the past and MS wouldn't allow it. Now that they have 3x market share it's funny how Microsoft has changed their position. It will happen in time but likely not until the userbases are more even.
Handheld, not mobile.
Mobile typically refers to phones and crappy iOS games.
Speaking of... time to politely ask 505 Games on Twitter for a Collector's Edition. PS4 and XBO got one so hopefully Switch will too.
Don't undock it.
Needs more third party games, please.
Your making less sense when you expand on what you said. Are these scalpers who are holding stock also buying all the games too? You know the ones readily available on shelves everywhere.
You don't have to like Nintendo but let's not get silly.
It's a moot point. Scalpers aren't selling to other scalpers so the sold units are closely representative of the user base.
Doesn't it feel different than the Wii U though? Mario Kart 8 has struck at the right time to help maintain momentum.
I expect with Nintendo latest financial projections we are about to hear about more third party support (or at least I hope).
I agree on the games... I own a Switch too. Zelda is great and Mario Kart today is nice but I'm going to need to hear more especially from third parties.
Agreed and the last one was on 3DS so unless it sold poorly I'm betting they'll follow suit here too! :)
As for Switch, it seems likely. This title is an easy "test the waters" due to lower development costs.
You're confusing 2017's "general dislike" of motion controls with success.
It's fun to say things like "Wii did very mediocre in software sales with easily 10 million Wii owners never buying a game outside of the wii sports game" based on what... your extensive sales data, right?
So yeah, the Wii isn't cool anymore but it was a huge success.
No. You've posted this twice and misunderstood the quote. The author has cropped the pics at 1080p.
When the author says the results are more impressive in 4K in motion, they're referring the real-life experience on Scorpio.
The pics are boring but have quite a few detail differences.
Check the ladybug and compare the eyes. You'll see that the Scorpio version brings out the chrome and mesh look. The top of the bug has detailed textures.
Set your expectations though, you're not going to see another jump like 8-bit to 16-bit or SD to HD.
Agree with the sentiment here. It's alright to be a fan of something but that shouldn't mean you have to hate the competition.
Try buying all the major consoles that interest you. You'll get to play any exclusives and choose the best version of a multi-platform game.
A few valid criticisms though the author misses why it was a success... it was the first of its kind. He goes on to say...
"Mario Kart 64 does not improve upon Mario Kart SNES."
Wrong! Mario Kart 64 was the first to bring the series into 3D and in 1996 that was amazing. It played well and the 4-player multiplayer was unparalleled providing lots of repeat plays.
Sure it hasn't aged well due to the fuzzy low-pol N64 visuals,...
More likely an NDA for an E3 reveal.
