Look I understand that last gen was ridden with all sorts of memory limitation and what not and they had to use limited color palette for redundant use and conserving memory space for other aspects of game but with X1 with tons of Ram available (roughly 10 times the original X360) what is the reason now to use dull, desaturated color tracks, environments and cars.

In my point of view, reason behind so much hatred from PC guys towards PS4 is because they buy really really expensive hardware filled with various kind of bottlenecks (be that OS, RAM, Motherboard, Graphic Card etc)and at the same time game developers not able to utilize true potential of their individual alone capable hardware and offers nothing but average optimized game (as they have to cover broader pc gamerbase using various configuration etc).

Unless any of the current available PC hardware offer the ditto design architecture and ditto specs in terms of memory, bandwidth etc. as that of PS4 ... the point of building your own dedicated gaming machine that will be comparable to PS4 is rather pointless.

I tend to skip campaign in favor of Multiplayer which is mostly I buy my games for. Campaign section of games only comes into my perspective when online services are going through some sort of downtime, but then again that rarely happens ... :)

Well even your analogy (regarding 4 Passenger car vs 8 Passenger Car) further proves my above mentioned point regarding why 4Gb DDR5 is far more beneficial/superior then 8Gb DDR3.
First, 8 passenger car will be slow to the destination, second, only 4 persons will be able to get out of the car at any given time, time consumed for first four pasengers to get out, then remaining four passengers to get out (bottleneck) and after that slowly head back to...

4K Television will be great in my point of view but not LCD/LED backlit display panels. Today I saw 84inch 4k LG television, I have to tell ya, it didn't look any better than current LCD/LED display panels, black level were still crushed and white level were way to white that you lose all sort of definition in between.

Gameplay bits in this video looks awesome and amazing. Bits I love most is that cars looks like they are being driven on road and not hovering/skating/sliding like some other titles.
My only gripe is ... to achieve photorealism they are literally dulling the color down to almost desaturated level (where red looks light pink), which is giving it rather grim look to cars, vistas, environments and tracks.
