It will lead to permanent GAAS as Microsoft ultimately wants. They tried with the launch of the Xbox One an got a huge backlash when gamers rejected their always online requirement and they had to backtrrack. Now they have been slowly pushing the same thing with the Gamepass service and have gained a foothold.
Eventually gamers will have no choice but to pay a regular subscription to access the majority of the AAA games.
Nintendo approves because it sees this as a way to destroy Sony and because they know their console sells because of their exclusive franchises like Mario, Zelda, etc.

The game runs at around 50 fps @ 4K on an RTX 4080 with DLSS. If the PS5 can get a stable 30fps then that is an achievement. Just like Cyberpunk, CDProject cannot get decent fps with raytracing enabled.
Some people have yet to work in the real world it seems. These fanboys will eventually realize that no business is going to sabotage a product just to make another console look good. It is simply financial suicide to do that.
Review seems favourable from a graphics point of view. Needs some work fixing the bugs and performance. As with Cyberpunk, it's best to wait a while for the issues to be fixed.
The pics on the right are real life but look like Skyrim scenes which is a 11 year old game. PS/V look like garbage in comparison.
The game drops to 45fps regularly even on an RTX 3080 so just bad optimization on all platforms. Fantastic game though with lots of detail and great storyline.
What's redeemed about it? The AI is still as dumb and stupid as launch day. GTA did far better AI 10 years ago. Even after updates it's not much different from launch.
Arkham games are usually Nvidia sponsored so I wouldn't even be surprised if they nerfed the console versions to sell the new RTX 4000 series for Nvidia.
The CGI is not as good as most Pixar movies. Looks more like any recent game cutscene quality.
Misleading title. This is not 'auto-enhanced'. Nvidia's tool allows modders to easily modify and enhance in-game assets since it links various 3D apps. It greatly accelerates the process but every model and lighting must still be individually modified.
The best remake I've seen is Mafia:Definitive Edition. It easily looks like a current gen game and far better than the original. Devs should put real work into remakes rather than just increase resolution and textures.
Won't look that great sadly. Already tested with an N64 emulator with upscaling. They really should have remade it.
The OTT glitter effects are causing framerate issues. The devs really should have listened to the feedback from the first gameplay reveal but it looks like they haven't bothered reducing the excessive explosions at all. I would nuch rather have transparency trail effects than lots of glitter everywhere.
It's a blatant Ori ripoff but Ori looks far better. Graphics are bland.
Sony should try to buy Respawn who is headed by the co-founder of Infinity Ward. They are the original guys behind CoD so will have all the know how to recreate a Playstation CoD competitor. Titafall is great but maybe a new franchise that's similar would be better?
They could have used FSR 2.0 to get upscaled 4k 60fps but it looks like they are still sticking with checkerboard rendering.
The games with the best graphics are still the launch games? Devs aren't improving much if they can't beat BOTW or SMO.
Even the 4090 is only about 35% better performance than a 3090Ti. The 4070Ti is not going to be faster than a 3090Ti. Totally wrong title.
