More than likely there won't be a Gears of War title next year. They usually release Gears of War and Halo in alternating years, which is smart for them to do as it sort of guarantees at least one blockbuster every year. Not to mention, launching any game around a Halo has always resulted in horrible sales and I'm sure Epic and Cliffy B. don't want to see how popular their game "really" is when it launches next to a Halo title.

I'm glad to see a graphical overhaul for H...

Haha this is kind of interesting cause seeing as how you're sort of playing through a movie in a sort of way giving trophies for this game would be ridiculously easy so I understand what they mean about trophies here. I mean think about - Trophy unlocked for pressing Square 10 times in a row? Trophy unlocked for completing chapter 1. It'd be the easiest trophies ever attained.

Their trade in prices are better than GameStop's. Been trading in games to them for a little while now and have been getting about $25-$30 per title, as opposed to GameStop's measly $12-20. Not to mention, eBay is fine and all if you're willing to have to wait a week or more to sell the title. Plus, when you factor in shipping costs that you typically have to pay, the dollar you actually put in your pocket is typically in line with what Amazon is getting you.

...meanwhile, computer companies such as Apple and smartphone company, RIM (BlackBerry) - none of which are inexpensive - continue to dominate the market despite being in a recession. No matter how you slice it, recession or not, when it comes to electronics people will still shell out some serious cash for the stuff they want. I think the recession is having a larger impact on the Auto industry than any other industry, as people who use to get a new car every year are starting to hold off on...

Background downloads are selective and this applies the same to the 360 as well. If you're playing a game that requires (or is constantly connected to the network) your download will pause. However, if you're playing signing that you have to manually sign in to be taken to the online portion then the download continues. You can't have multiple data streams running at the same time and this has always been the case - the same applies to 360.

Just to point out, this game was playable at E3 and EA is definitely polishing up console screenshots and/or what they are showing online is the PC version or something because this game wasn't even close to those shots at E3. It was good looking, but had severe aliasing issues and was no where near as polished as what I was expecting from first viewing shots. This comparison doesn't even exist and when the game launches those that haven't had the chance to play will see why.

Don't know about you, but Mobile Me still sucks. It's definitely gotten a lot better, but it's still far from being what Apple said it would be and is still plagued with delays and in some cases not getting emails at all or accidentally wiping information during wireless sync.

I was sort of wondering what was up with the lack of Push apps, but I originally just figured it'd be a few months before most of the apps updated themselves. But, browsing around the App store shows a lot...

Someone want to explain to me how exactly this is a news story and why it got approved in the first place?

At E3, it was pretty apparent that both Sony and Microsoft were going after a different crowd with their controls. Sony is trying to focus more on its dedicated, hardcore game-based audience by boasting about the motion controllers' precision. While Microsoft is going after the Wii head on and even demoed Wii'like games.

When I saw it, I didn't expect core game support for Natal either. Plus, Microsoft sort of indirectly announced Natal isn't for core games either by stating tha...

Yea I guess the 360 is a PC if you count the fact that it crashes just as much as Windows. Never heard that one before, though, seriously. Who would say the 360 is a PC? It lacks the ability to swap your own hard drive, a high def player, AFFORDABLE accessory options and doesn't even have a browser. If that's the case, I'd say the PS3 is closer to a PC than the 360. But, neither the PS3 or 360 will handle Brink how it looks on PC.

Damn and didn't this dude just post a story about how this game brought a whole new level of graphics to 360? And now it turns out that what he saw was the PC version and it didn't even cross his mind that it was a PC game... oh well, that's HHG...

Good stuff.

Is this a joke type of article or is it being serious? Sort of hard to tell.

Hey HHG, did you actually ask if they were running it on a 360 at e3 or did you just see the 360 controller being fed through the wall. Yea, I was at E3 and I was shown the trailer and when I asked if it was a PC 360 controller or was the game running on 360 they declined to comment. Sounds like PC to me.

Anyone who has followed L4D2's E3 coverage (or was lucky enough to go to E3 and play it, like myself) can understand the boycott's concern. Everyone I spoke with that played L4D2 immediately just said it felt exactly like L4D1 and other than a few new monster types that weren't even remotely different (a Charger tank that runs at you really fast for a powerful hit, but goes down easily as an example), a few new levels, new characters that are stereotypical replacements for the first (in other...

I'm sort of curious why IGN pointed out that they only got the 360 version of the game and not PS3 and PC. The reason I'm curious is because IGN DOES NOT DO MORE THAN ONE REVIEW for a game and this is very apparent and has been for quite some time. They typically just play the 360 version, write one review and it gets published on both IGN PS3/360. I'm sure the devs have probably started noticing that most big multiplatform gaming networks like GameSpot and IGN only play one copy (which is al...

Wow, I'm sorry but this is the most uninformed article in the world one simple reason: The iPhone 3G ALSO has Open GL 2.0. This is not new to the 3GS. Therefore, there's nothing extra to "push". Nice bad article there.

Yea, nevermind Apple for not including MMS in the iPhone in the first place and then patching it up with OS 3.0 nearly 3 years later. As someone who works in this industry (but not for AT&T) you need to understand that it's not as simple as you think. Each phone has specific protocols that need to be added to the network before the feature can be turned on. Now, MOST phones use the same protocols for the most part, which is why they come standard when the phone launches. iPhones use a dif...

I personally like the idea of being able to download games. As someone who's dvd, blu-ray and game collection is taking up way too much space, anything I can do to get rid of disks is a huge bonus. But, the 360 is not the best platform for this feature thanks to its limited options in storage. Sure, MS will allow you to redownload/delete when you see fit, but who the hell wants to do that? I'd have to continually delete games to make room for new ones because MS didn't have the foresight to r...

For those that went to E3 (including myself) don't try to compare replay shots (as most of these are) with ingame shots. The replay editor has a much smoother graphics profile than the ingame (in the same way that Gran Turismo's picture mode has much cleaner shots than in game) because the replay isn't rendering physics or whatnot.

That's why I never judge graphics performance of Gran Turismo and Forza from the replay shots (which is the ones they always show the most) because th...
