You can buy the dev kit for $300. They are selling it to anyone who wants one it seems.
The bad side usually is if devs don't make use of it to the full potential. For instance not making it worth exploring all the nooks and crannies to find new, unique, or hidden USEFUL objects or playing perks, not just hidden worthless idols and such just to have something there that has no bearing on your missions. Nothing worse than checking everything out and finding out that it's was time wasted when in the overall aspect of the game. More freedom is great but to do it just becaus...
You are right on Lockon.

You do realize that BF 4 is releasing on PS3 and Xbox 360 also?
Got it free awhile back from PS plus. Good Game.
PS2 is a large open world mmo fps, Dust 514 is just a bland FPS connected to a PC MMO universe in which every map which doesn't seem like many maps and all look the same, BORING. So no competition there between the 2.
That's because EA only cares about EA not gamers.
That's because it was screaming open world multi-player. Not Like Red Dead Redemption which had a very boring multi-player. Single player was awesome but the multi sucked.
I've been thinking the same thing for years. It would make it definitely more tactical. Would help to have way less spray and pray, grenade, mortar, claymore, or rocket spaming. Should make it a very very heavy penalty for killing civilians. Perhaps subtract one kill from KDR for every civilian kill (because we know how much kids these days think their KDR in a video game proves how badass they are, can't mess that up) or overall experience points deduction, maybe both.
I'll wait until one of these companies comes up with a very light weight motorcycle style helmet version where the shield is a 1080p screen, a installed mic, head tracking and 7.1 or 5.1 speakers positioned inside for true surround sound.

sorry double post
From my experience, Carmack is 100% on the money AMD drivers suck compared to Nvidia.
It looks awesome but I'm worried. They are the same studio that did the Far Cry 3 multi-player part and in my opinion it was garbage. It tried too much to be like COD in the jungle. Let's hope they don't repeat that and it is as good as it looked in the E-3 demo.
someone yelled Xbox sucks from the audience, LMAO.
It is NOT F2P. Read the blog, you have to pay for the game but there will be no monthly subscription like some MMOs like WoW.
Reminds me of when Demon's Souls came out on the PS3 a ton of people where complaining because they tried to treat it like some hack and slash button mashing game, when you needed to take your time and think before running in like a chicken with it's head cut off hoping for the best. There is too much of the COD mentality out there that thinks if it isn't easy or makes you a super hero in every game that it isn't fun.
Pretty sick of this give every pathetic li...
Yea they should have allocated some extra separate storage for this firmware update besides the 8GB and 32GB they advertised on the box knowing full well they were going to do this.
What is Kotaku smoking because I want some of that, it took my connection 50 mins to DL then install. people must have some seriously slow crap out there.
I wouldn't put it pass Ubisoft to patch an online survival mode type of thing in as DLC to make a little extra cash. Personally I'll be happy with just the single player when I get this game tomorrow.
I thought the the gamepad uses the sensor bar in games like ZombiU when you put the pad in front of you and use it as a scanner or snipe, to sense where the pad is in relation to your TV screen. I may be wrong but that was my understanding.
Also this article is wrong the sensor bar comes with every Wii U console not just some.

Stupid article since the release date has not been released to the public. So Amazon has to say something when an order is made, so they are just giving shipping info on the place holder date. Wow the lengths the troll articles will go to for hits.
