but what does Activision think?
They are the ones gouging people.
Doesn't Activision own Blizzard now and just took the name?

I think Microsoft cornered themselves with this one.
Sony has been taking it real easy, not listening to anyone, just minding their own schedules and 10 year plan, and they have not done bad at all considering their "arrogance" which they do have a bit of. Whether you like it or not, the PS3 is a damn successful console, and it's only been about 3 years.

Think about it this way;
with the xbox360 you're gona have two choices,
Arcade for $199 or Elite fo...

listen to that fatass even smack talk the xb360 saying things like:
-no large medium
-no mandatory HDD
-expensive to develop on
-windows vista sucks

But he praises the console now.

Gabe Newell is just a fat whiny baby.

you completely missed my point about the longevity.
The PS2 is $99 after 10 years.
If Microsoft dropped the price again, the xb would be $99 after only 4 years.
You see all that potential longevity thrown right out the window? All of those potential years the xb360 could be standing while making Microsoft a decent profit? Microsoft would be shooting themselves in the foot by dropping the price, it would be a trade off, they would be trading monthly sales RIGHT NOW for yearly...

you do realize that TONS of RRoDs happened well within 30 days that almost all retailers have as default warranties on new xb360's right?

Why does a customer want to ship their console to Microsoft when they can just take it right back to Best Buy or Walmart and get it swapped for another NEW console?

I work at a retail store, I see that scenario happen every single day that I work. And I remember when it was at its peak, it was horrible. We even had to cancel offeri...

3 out of 10+ years for the PS3 here.
and you think it's too late?
With the number of REAL WORKING consoles in the world about 2 million units?
You're kidding me right?

Same piece of sh1t, different price.

The PS3 is still evolving and pushing the boundaries faster than anything else.
The xbox360 is still stuck in 2006 and DVDs.
The PS3 still has 7 years minimum of growth left in it.
Beyond 2009 and with Bluray movies and games.

again i did NOT even imply that either.
I know that Sony doesn't play the "SWING AT EVERY CHANCE I GET" kind of tactics that Microsoft likes to play.
Sony can probably care less about Microsoft and what they do, Sony is in a different league offering their products in a completely different way. But Microsoft is another story. They try to swing at EVERYONE, Sony, Nintendo, Apple, Google, EVERYONE that owns a market that they want to monopolize on.
And i'm NOT being...

i told this man that the PS3 might soon get a slim model and a price cut.
he said he was sick and tired of paying for Microsoft to repair his out-of-warranty xbox360.
and he really wants Metal Gear Solid 4, and doesn't want to keep paying for online play.

PS3 is the way to go guys! It's nice seeing that more people now realize the value of the PS3 even at the current price, instead of the clearance-like priced xb360 has to offer.

Actually Sony does own the record label that owns The Go! Team.

5414d ago 8 agree1 disagreeView comment

i didn't even imply that, retard.
But out of all of the songs Microsoft could have picked, they pick one that Sony has already used.

What DOES puzzle me is that, while Sony DIDN'T make the song, they do own it. Columbia Records is the label, and Sony owns Columbia. I wonder how that one slid by.
