Imo 2 is tied with 1 as my favorite Bioshock. The gameplay is the natural evolution of the first, with more freedom to experiment. The story and locales are more intimate and less grandiose than you would see in a Ken Levine story. I love the atmospheric break of the underwater sections and never understood the hate for them. All 3 games have pacing issues but imo 2’s are less severe. The level design has a lot of ex-Looking Glass alumnis and is generally more open ended.

I love this chain effect of people emphasizing the long development time. 343 have ported Halo MCC to PC, ported Reach to MCC and PC, and they've completely revamped MCC with custom game servers, skins implemented into the old games, crossplay, and new maps for H3 while supporting Halo 5 along the way.

Yes Infinite has been in development for 6 years. Given all they've done in the mean time and what they're looking to do with Infinite, it's really not that b...

Less money on hardware means customers have more for software. Also they can focus all their dev teams on one platform.

People theorized over the years that Nintendo had some partial ownership over the games because they’ve only appeared on Nintendo consoles since 2008.

It seems more like they had limited time publishing rights or financed the past few entries. Or maybe Tecmo was seeing more success as one of the only horror games on Nintendo consoles.

For real. Never enjoyed a BF csmpaign. It looks like a huge resource dump.

BF will definitely sell 5 million. Even BF5 did

I just don’t appreciate that its being propped up as a successor to L4D in all the marketing. Its not enough like L4D to be marketed like that. I cant believe how bad the gore is. 369 era L4D2 blows it out of the water in gamefeel. And versus is just tedious because they think no one wants to sit through a 45 minute versus match so they cobbled together a 10 minute gamemode. The whole game feels weirdly phoned in or contracted.

Between the Evil Dead Game, WWZ 2 and Aliens ...

@GhostScholar

😂 Hey genius you actually think that makes a new franchise? Thats like saying the new tomb raider games are a new franchise.

I love the goalpost moving.

1. Xbox has no exclusives because theyre on PC.

Sony starts to port its games to PC and is actively acquiring studios to expedite that process turns that into:

2. Well, PC revenue will pay for more “exclusives” on PS.

I remember when all these PS owners had a PC to play all the Xbox games. I wonder where they went.

Hate to break it to you buddy, but theyre not exclusives ...

@Apocalypse

I already said id like more games. We’re in agreement there. Xbox has just made more of an effort on this front, plain and simple. There is still not a consistent, optimized 360 emulator on PC. That their engineers figured it out on a base Xbone is a technical feat no one saw coming. You act like MS could just turn it on because they didnt use the Cell. That was a huge undertaking.

This is beside the point because the PS4 could very easily pla...

You can’t deny that Xbox is the one in the lead on this issue over Sony and Nintendo.

Its not perfect, there are legal and technical hurdles that have to be crossed. But this is the only console where i can put in a disc copy of Panzer Dragoon Orta from 2003 and play it upscaled in HDR, and that is pretty cool. I just wish i could do it with morr games.

I think the Series S is a sleeper hit in countries like India, Mexico, among others. It might actually be the more popular variant in the long run because of those countries.

Makes sense. The input lag on RDR2 is already bad enough

I managed to get one on Wednesday from best buy.

Surprised so many don't like it. I thought it was easily their best game, which is still a 7/10 admittedly. Every once and a while it scratched that uncanny PS2 era horror vibe and for that I quite enjoyed it.

The thing with Blooper is they tell great stories and make great worlds, but their gameplay is lacking. It feels like a big team of art guys.

Why wouldn't it have to do well? Why does the PS5's performance only matter in comparison to the Series X/S? If there's more PS5's in Japan selling more software, you get more Japanese software which is among the best.

I think Sony should strongly consider how to stop hemorrhaging console buyers in the past 3 gens in one of the biggest videogame cultures in the world.

Yup. We went from a drought of L4D style games to more than i know what to do with. Put that suicide squad game on there too it looks like L4D.

It just blows my mind how Arkane is allowed to get away with their hideous art style no questions asked.

I'm not a fan of the Mario or Yoshi sidescrollers, but I prefer 2D Metroid to 3D in most cases (im a fan of Prime 2). I would say metroid is a solid 50/50 between people who prefer 2D vs 3D.

So far paced poorly but loving it. Everything shown is for this year and Dread back from the dead since 2008?? Dope.

Overall I'd say it was good but not great. BotW 2 looks incredible, Metroid was a nice surprise, SMT looks like a JRPG epic, and all of the game shown are coming this year. The new Mario Party even looks good.

Not seeing Prime 4 or Bayonetta 3 was surprising.
