I'm sure the "no guns" con is just sarcasm. They wouldn't honestly put that! Although now that I think about it... a game with lots of guns and lots of flowers... might actually be awesome.

From my understanding Flow did very well on the PS3 and that 'interactive art' game Linger in Shadows is one of the better selling PSN titles. Why wouldn't Flower be good on the PS3, too?
No game is too good for a console or fanbase.
For me, the only time I get frustrated with a Game Over is when playing a shoot-em-up game like Gradius or Soldner-X. Every time your ship blows up the 'automated robot pilot voice guy' (?) would say things like: "You need more practice.", "Is THAT the best you can do?", or "Do you even know how to fly a ship?". Man, talk about rubbing it in... it always hurts my feelings. :(
Ah, you beat me to it! I remember Winback very well, and I actually really liked the game back in the day, mostly because of the cover system. It's a shame Winback 2 was a bust.
This is a nice change of pace from all the Guitar Hero's and Call of Duty's. As long as they're interested in new IP's, I'm happy!

I disagree when the article says that both were "essentially the same , one-dimensional, revenge-driven automaton". See, a lot of people seem to miss the fact that the Max Payne games were a bit of a spoof on film noir in general. First off: I AM ONLY A PS3 OWNER. Second: The 1UP Yours podcast is (was) the BEST gaming podcast in the media. The fact you say things like that shows you have never once listened to it before. I don't care if you hate 1UP's "printed" reviews, but the four regular guys on that podcast were some of the most down to Earth people in the business and in the last few episodes, they've actually shown a lot of PS3 love.

Certainly for its time the opening D-Day sequence was incredible. I think it still holds up today, and I have yet to play an opening stage that packs the same wow factor I had back then after stepping off the boat. Neat stuff...

Maybe I was expecting too much, but that was biggest waste of two hours I've had in a long time. For something that called itself an awards show, only about 15 minutes of those two hours were spent on awards. More than half of the awards were given in a brief 90 second montage. Some of the "world premiere" reveals were kinda neat, but not really worth it and they're probably online already. The music performances were predictable and/or lame and the production was incredibly sloppy....
Home, or any online space for that matter, is not designed to have EVERY PS3 OWNER IN THE WORLD logged on at the SAME TIME. These types of games are designed for a constant flow of people logging on and logging OFF. You just can't necessarily blame Sony. It's just not ethical for a company to have server support for EVERY player at one time. Later down the road when not every PS3 owner and their mom is trying to log on, it'll run just fine.

Look, I only own a PS3 this gen, but I regularly read 1up and listen to their podcasts. In fact on their latest podcast they had a lot of really great things to say about killzone 2. I'm really puzzled at the tone of this crap preview, since one of the guys actually said that killzone 2 has generally won over everyone at 1up.
Anyway, I'm trying to say that 1up isn't as bad as everyone seems to think it is. As a PS3 owner I highly recommend the 1up Yours podcast. The four regula...
