Yeah it sounds like this content isn't really for you.
I think there's plenty of room in the world of games journalism for in-depth analyses of games that look at how those games handle a whole bunch of issues.
It's unfortunate that the people who really ought to be reading this sort of stuff just immediately write it off.
If we want video games to be taken seriously as an art form, we have to have these conversations. Shoul...
I picked mine up recently from Nintendo with Smash Bros, Splatoon and a squid girl amiibo for £215 and I've been playing it to death since. It's definitely a great value system in my books.
I'm glad they were removed- they're embarrassing, immature and damaging.
"Prolific" as an adjective is associated with quantity, not quality. 3 games in a year is pretty prolific.
Somehow their Nintendo Direct will still manage to be more awkward to watch than the live stage presentations...
Despite all the "tactics to make money", I'm playing more and more great games for absolutely nothing. Haven't spent a penny on Hearthstone or League of Legends and they're arguably some of my most played games in recent years. Not forgetting TF2 and I haven't even touched DOTA 2 yet.
Some people feel that they need to spend the money for what are effectively shortcuts, skins or occasionally extra content. And those who do are probably still getting ...
Means I'll be getting it for 3DS, the system that is being consistently supported.
"Dark Souls 2 on PC will have parity with the console releases. We will, of course, still be getting higher resolutions; and the larger installation size for the PC version suggests higher quality textures too. 60fps has also been confirmed in a pre-release press statement."
That ain't parity...
Why are GIFs all of a sudden being used to examine or showcase fidelity?
Media Molecule are the Rareware of today.
Sega does what Nintendon't- this has been going on for ages and it was actually funny once upon a time. We need to lighten up.
PS3 is the console I'm most likely to buy this Christmas. Still bitter for having missed The Last of Us.
We all know most people are going to go with PS4- from where we stand now, PS4 has a lot more than 9 reasons which make it better than the Xbox One.
However, this is a fair and decent list: the controller is lovely, it has exclusive games some people may prefer and I for one didn't even know it would use Skype- that's awesome.
I won't be getting either but it is nice to see viewpoints from both sides of the war.
"Oh man, do you remember 20 years ago when Steven Spielberg produced Schindler's List?"
"Oh man, do you remember 20 years ago when Dr Dre produced Gin and Juice for Snoop Dogg?"
"Oh man, do you remember 20 years ago when David Lynch produced Twin Peaks?"
"Oh man, do you remember 30 years ago when Quincy Jones produced Thriller for Michael Jackson?"
"Oh man, do you remember over...
The biggest reason to own a Wii U is Nintendo games. Problem is, most of them are available in comparable or potentially better iterations (in greater numbers) on the 3DS, which is itself a more compelling system than the Wii U. And cheaper.
With Zelda (both old and new), 3D and 2D Mario, Mario Kart, Mario and Luigi, Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Smash Bros and Donkey Kong Country Returns all on 3DS, why buy a Wii U? Pikmin?
Will be buying mine in the coming weeks!
My opinion definitely does differ, I believe what Half Life did for singleplayer FPS, what Counter Strike did for multiplayer, what Left 4 Dead did for co-op, what Team Fortress 2 did for F2P and what Portal did for the puzzle genre, along with their incredible services and general ethos is far greater than what even Naughty Dog has achieved.
Crash Bandicoot and Jak were solid as rocks, but defined or revived a genre? I wouldn't say so personally. I think its so unfair to...
I really don't see the hypocrisy in this. Spielberg considers gaming to be an inadequate storytelling medium so is telling a story (arguably one that was born from years of movie industry influence) with what he considers to be a better medium.
The man is incredibly talented. In regards to his more recent output, it seems the gaming community is quick to remember Crystal Skull and Transformers but quick to forget War Horse, Lincoln, Munich and Band of Brothers.

3DS is the system to have if you're a Nintendo fan. True before this Nintendo Direct, true after.
Just because a game wasn't made to do something, doesn't mean that it doesn't have that effect on a player. People are free to interpret media how they see fit. Things aren't being "twisted" into political views - these are real people interpreting games. You may disagree with the interpretation but they're not wrong for interpreting it as such.
I haven't actually played Catherine, but reading the article and reading your response was inter...
