Yes but only limitedly. Activision will probably choose to keep Infinity Ward alive (if only in name) and will be able to advertise COD:MW3 as being developed by Infinity Ward. Name and brand recognition are much larger factors in how a game sells than quality (sadly). The next COD which will be by Treyarch will be the above average quality sustained by them so is unlikely that COD will lose face quickly. What would hurt Activision would be to lose the rights to COD in the lawsuit or to ha...
EA doesn't own the company so they can't sell it, they only have publishing rights (like Insomniac can't be sold bye Sony). To buy Respawn Activision would have to deal with the Owners (whom they just fired) who would probably refuse to sell. Best Activision could do is buy the publishing contract from EA (and then only if there isn't an intervening clause in the contract) and even then would probably have only limited input on the game itself (again depends on what the contract says).
Actually what he meant is that he did not believe linear games do justice to the medium. While I disagree everyone is taking what he said way out of context (he also said Uncharted 2 was a great game right before it).
I'm past Ravenholm I think the last thing I did (it's been a while since I played) is break some people out of prison or something. I'm currently stuck is some radioactive tunnel or something and I can't figure out how to get out.
As for Bioshock, I enjoyed the social commentary and loved walking through the environments and messing with the plasmids I just didn't find combat fun and just eventually lost the will to go on. I'll probably go back and finish it at one point when...
I can't get myself to finish Bioshock or Half-Life 2. The reason is I bought them on recommendations despite not liking first person shooters hoping they would be different enough to hold my interest, but despite interesting environments and some good moments I just can't get myself to enjoy the gameplay.
You've got your terminology mixed-up. Right-wing means conservatives, who are generally pro-guns, left-wing means liberals, who are generally against firearms.
The beauty of it is they tell the pirates about the scheme in the Terms of Service Agreement. So since the pirate agreed to it they have no legal leg to stand, its completely brilliant.
I would but the site tried to infect my computer with three viruses when I clicked the link.
The criticism to length is relevant because not everyone plays on the hardest difficult especially on their first play through.
They probably just review for the consoles which are the more mainstream gaming mediums. Or maybe because they don't play the PC version they don't comment on it because it may be different.
Its simple really Fox caters to the conservative view of the world, which does put it far into the minority of the networks, meaning it is one of the only major networks to do so. As of such there is very little competition. They're not really much worse then the liberal networks spin wise, they just lack direct competition in the form of another major conservative slanted news network so they don't need to trim the chaff. This leads to stupid stuff being able to air but them not loosing v...
Fox pushes towards a more conservative slant but they really aren't any worse than CNN they just lean in a different direction so if you disagree with them you see them as worse. Now MSNBC, on the other hand, they intentionally mislead their viewers in an attempt to control the stock market in their favor. You may disagree with Fox's spin but they are not even close to as bad as MSNBC (although how they advertise themselves as the Fair and Balanced channel makes them come off as arrogant pr...
Actually at my high school anything 70 or below was an F (trust me it was a real system shock when I got to college and had some real leniency in the grade system, for instance I got a 52 on my last quantum physics test and it was a B+).
They do need to talk numbers though, not for you but for the stock holders who are also watching, unless you want them to stop making games at all.
I was wondering the exact same thing, there doesn't seem to be any benefit to the publisher/developer, or the customer, for the offering the pre-order, it's not like they need it to judge how many discs to make.
1) Uncharted 2
2) MGS4
3) LBP
4) Valkyria Chronicles
5) Uncharted 1
6) Siren Blood Curse
7) Infamous
I actually don't see this article as trying to smear the Move. It does bring up a limitation to it (one that I kind of figured was the case ever since I saw that some games required 2 Moves). It actually assesses the pricing problem that was brought up by other sites. On the other hand I don't see why they think the games will only support up to 2 players if it only takes one Move then the game could still have 4 simultaneous players.
Yeah I was really surprised when I found it, I can't wait to see what they have to say about God of War 3.
Edit: Taking a look at their site they've actually been reviewing games for a while, their first review was Crackdown. Also it seems the game reviewers that work for Fox aren't representative of the network as a whole, they seem more laid back about the violence and nudity then a lot of the people who work there.
It has received 109 game of the year awards according to this site

and thats only counting GOTYs not all the other awards it has won
This, right here, is something I would like Fanboys to take note of, a games success or failure is not determined by its sales relative to other games its determined by its sales relative to expectations. Since nobody makes a product that they expect to fail every sail above expectations is additional profit for the developer/publisher. Thus every game that sells at or above (or even slightly below) expectations is considered as success, so can we please stop saying how game X sold in relat...
