It's Elden Ring and nothing else for me while I'm playing it. I'm dropping Dying Light 2 now even though I like it and Elden Ring is also why Horizon has gone straight to my back log (top of the backlog though). But Elden Ring is just going to grab me like only soulsborne games can.
Same here. The first Dark Souls average time to beat is 42 hours. I know the first time I beat it I was at over 100 hours. And I'm not a trophy hunter at all.
I don't doubt one bit that I'll be playing Elden Ring well over 100 hours. Speaking of that it's time for me to go create my character!
Lol whoops wrong day. Tomorrow!
Going to be playing it in about 5 hours. I can't believe it's finally here. I start my vacation Sunday and I'm going to play the hell out of it!
I haven't had that happen but a bug I've come across maybe a few times in 25 hours is that the screamer infected become totally frozen. I can't hit them and they also don't scream. Another bug that occurs more often is shop keepers and craft masters not showing up. That's really annoying.
Bugs aside I'm still having plenty of fun. But it'll all go on hold Friday when Elden Ring releases...
Checking the comments here is as close as I'm getting to that trailer. Man I can't believe it's THIS WEEK!
I've got my vacation lined up the following week. Hopefully there won't be too many launch week woes.
I cant help but see Pac-Man in the design of the game title. Looks like he's about to eat the letters K, T, A, I, and L.
That's good to hear. I may go through the game again one day after they've totally updated it and moved on.
Back when it first came out I played through the whole game (on pc) but about 2/3 through it became God Mode and there was no challenge at all. Got bored and rushed through the last bits of the game.
Glad to know it's gotten more challenging and makes it so you have to be more strategic.
Agreed it's not but I remember that danger also meant I avoided night as much as possible. I think they traded fear for fun which is a fair trade I guess.
I doubt it will be mobile but if it is then we know that their focus is definitely money over anything else.
They're great at butchering stuff but there have also been some gems and surprises.
I never in my life thought I'd like a series based on League of Legends but it was pretty great.
Maybe just maybe they'll do Bioshock justice.
Yeh I cannot freaking wait for this. I skipped the bullet points as they looked like they might strip some info I just want to experience first hand but the rest of the preview was indeed pure joy and spoiler free.
Looking more forward to it than any other game no matter how far out.
Pumped as hell for Elden Ring.
It's definitely been a true redemption story. I'm happy for the guy too. He always meant well, awful launch aside.
That AND I love the overall style including the enemy designs. Really unique looking stuff and if they can pull off the gameplay I think they'll have a winner on their hands.
You can "truly love games" but just not have a thing for retro looking games. I was a kid during the Atari and NES days so I've had my fill of retro. It doesn't mean I don't love the hell out of games though.
Now if a game looks retro but is a truly good/great game then fun is fun as far as I'm concerned. But personally I'm not drawn to games that intentionally look dated as hell.
Man The Darkness was really good. And Mike Patton's voice was great in it.
Yeh I'm afraid to start anything I can't finish before Elden Ring because I know I'll drop everything else I'm playing.
Lol at your very timely reference to forgotten Chinese built cities. 2 knocks with one comment.
Yeh unless someone is speed running I would guess 30 hours is the absolute minimum.
"To be fair the photo-scavenger hunt in" Zelda is very similar to what was in Infamous. And there was probably some game before that that did it too. But Zelda doing it makes it groundbreaking...
