Why do they only mention 2 games? I mean, why frame it as which of these two is the game of the year, when really they're asking "Which open world fantasy RPG from 2015 is better?" Metal Gear Solid 5 and Bloodborne are my top 2 games of the year. Not sure which one, or either, is *THE BEST* game of the year, because it's so damn subjective. I just know which games I had the most fun with and for me it is those 2, for others it probably is The Witcher 3 or Fallout 4 (whic...
I don't mind what they do, but I have a couple of games I have been wanting lately and will buy if they go on sale for a good price. Roughly in order from least to most wanted, if the following go on sale for like 50% or more off, then I'll probably buy them:
Mad Max, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Sherlock Holmes Crimes & Punishments, Xcom Enemy Unknown, Skyrim DLC, Dark Souls 1 & 2, Alien Isolation, The Evil Within, and Grand Theft Auto 5.
Wait, whaaat? Whoa. I didn't hear about this. LOVE Valkyria Chronicles. This is freaking AWESOME! Just as a side question, but what does Winter 2016 in Japan mean? Does that mean January-March 2016, or November-December 2016?
I'll probably buy it considering it is one of my all-time favorite games and being able to play it where I take my laptop with me is pretty cool (I played it on PSP years ago as well, but I don't bring my PSP with me anywhere anymore haha).
I wouldn't call this "major" though... it is after all a 12 year old game. It's not like they announced Disgaea 5 for PC.
Still shows Red Alert 2 as the on the house game for me right now.
The PS4 price drop had no impact on Halo's sales, in my estimation. The Halo release probably even had only a minimal effect on PS4 sales. The real problem with October was that both companies had already announced and started taking pre-orders on amazing November bundles and they'd already started revealing the Black Friday prices and bundles, which are a SIGNIFICANTLY better deal than what you could get in October. November will be a skyrocket in sales over the October numbers.
From the link, the only ones I've played are Sunset Overdrive (#3 on their list) and Bloodborne (#1 on their list). I loved both. Those two are up there with MGS 5 for my top 3 games of the generation, actually (so far!).
I've got a laptop with a 970M and I'm playing with all settings on Ultra and 8x AA + FXAA, 16x AF, at 1080p and I'm getting 60 fps most of the time with occasional dips down to about 50 fps. Very happy with this runs on the mobile version of the GPU.
PS4 has its own issues, but the quote you used could have some context. They're talking about one battle, against a Deathclaw using a minigun, which is not the norm for the game. For some reason (they venture a guess that it has something to do with optimizations being focused more on Xbox One than PS4), the PS4 version suffers more in that battle. But other battles are identical or superior performance on PS4. The conclusion of the article states that it is an "overall smoother ...
I still haven't played the first one (the reboot one that came directly prior to this one, that is), but this is looking really nice. Should I play the first one before I play this, or does it not matter?
I haven't' played a Call of Duty game since the original Black Ops, which I thought was pretty good in multiplayer and single player (though better for multiplayer). I wasn't interested again until Advanced Warfare, which I thought looked pretty neat but I haven't played it yet. This one looks even better, though. The zombies trailer was freaking awesome, it made me really want to play this game. Should I pick this one up, or get Advanced Warfare discounted for cheap?
Wow there are a ton of awesome games to try on this service, now. How much does it cost? The article doesn't seem to mention a price, that I noticed.
Recore is coming in Spring 2016? That seems hard to believe, either that it's a much smaller scale game than I'd been led to believe (I thought it was a full-scale AAA retail/$60 type game?). Because we have seen exactly 0 frames of gameplay so far, for a game that's going to be out before the next big conference where the game could be shown off? That seems odd for a game that close to release to have no gameplay footage at all yet. So is it really not coming that soon, or is...
Always wanted to play Beyond Good & Evil 2. Hard to believe it's been like 11 years since I played that game! I will definitely give it a play again now! Also excited and happy about Magicka 2 and DRAGON FIN SOUP! YEAH! Already had Walking Dead Season 2, but I'm sure people who had the first one from when it was on PS+ will be happy to now get the 2nd one. All in all, this seems like a very nice month.
This game has been in development a surprisingly long amount of time. They've used that time well, it looks much more polished than it did the last time we saw it. The trailer is very effective, they certainly have my attention now!
Looks like so much fun to be had! I hope there is split screen.
Looks like Sony has completed their task of prepping gamers for a PS Experience high-VR extravaganza. I think we see a ton of VR including a live on-stage demo with the device, and a release date (or at least window) and maybe the price at PS Experience. The details depend on whether they intend to launch by E3 next year or after. They'll save an exact release day and the price for E3 if it's not going to be out before E3.
Haha!! Yes. Me too. Been wanting a wishlist feature since day one.
It makes no sense in the case of Game of Thrones. When the disc comes out, all the episodes will be available to download already. That means the game is done. They should be putting it all on the disc! I buy physical games in part so I don't have to download them. This sucks. The only reason I can think of to do it this way is if the game is essentially included as a download code in the box, which means you can't sell it used. Which I personally think is a terrible practice a...
This game looks awesome!
