Uwe Boll speaks as well as his movies are written.
Amazon may not represent the largest sales location, but the hope is that they server a broad enough crowd and sell enough units that they are sampling comparison of other retailers and the market in general.
I'm not sure I believe it to be true. Even though it's much more mainstream that it was years ago, I believe Amazon would still cater to more of the technologically savvy crowd, more prone to buy a PS3 or XBOX 360. Somewhere like Wal-Mart is probably more likely to sell mo...
It's a big deal if that's the game you want to play.
And yes, technology advances, but a console should remain static. Super Mario Bros. 3 played on the NES machines that came out on day 1. Sure, you might have to blow on the cartridge slot, but it played.
They're doing their best to lose it. So far, the best games are (in no order),
Wii Sports (Free Pack-in)
Zelda: TP (Gamecube mirror)
Super Paper Mario (Originally destined for Gamecube)
I love my Wii, but after a year, there is hardly anything out for what will soon be the top selling "nextgen" console around. The best games are still on the VC.
Good call. I posted a comment on the original story.
Edit: Also posted an update on the above story.
Hope it's good. I wish they'd just do an update on the Jaguar version.
I don't buy the line from UbiSoft, but at the same time, a rebuttal from Sony PR isn't exactly a technical defense.
Release the Lineage series on a console and watch the market take off.
Good luck to them... I'm used to FFXI where you constantly see messages like "JPN ONLY" or "NA NO."
Some of the best parties I had were JPN parties, but there were lots around who wanted nothing to do with North Americans.
They're waiting for it to show up on the Amazon top 20 first.
Wii - Plays all Wii games
360Core - Plays only some 360 games

And how was the 360 version in 07 and 06? Yeah.
EA has proven they take the easiest way through this cash cow. If the PS3 version sucks next year too, I'll be worried.
First it's RPGs, what's next, adventure games? FPS?
When MS released the Core system, they made a commitment to the users saying that XBOX360 games would work on it. Now, that's not exactly the case.
What good are development requirements if you're not going to abide by them. In the past, I've thought MS did great things by make a set of standards for their devs (achievements, customizable music, etc.). Now, it seems that requirements are going to be acceptable, ...
This really isn't that big of a deal. Best Buy is not the only game in town. There are limitless other places to buy these items.
Don't like Best Buy's prices? Buy somewhere else.
This would be a big deal if Best Buy had a monopoly on certain XBOX accessories.
And Google doesn't even have the courtesy of lubing up with a 3 year warranty. ;)
Easy people, it's a joke.
Kefka at #1 gives this list credibility.
Another delayed game on the Delaystation3.
Oh, wait.
Since users can't upgrade on their own (without buying the Microsoft kit).
Waiting for a game that you'll be able to play when it's done, or getting a game on time and not being able to play it because your 360 is in the shop. Then, you get your 360 back and you get to play the game. Ooops, back for repair again.
I'd sure as hell hope for $20,000 that there's something to block interference and cool the unit.
