Looks like some companies got stuck with the inventory stuffing that was going on and now has to give XB360's away with laptops.
The numbers is not in line with the typical sales trend. Good strategy from MS however to keep the numbers ticking over. They are still on track to end last though.
Some major spinning going around here to try and counter the backlash coming when the reality does not meet the hype.

Move is great. Has some great games - and a lot more potential than Kinect. Kinect just has press releases every three months trumpeting great things to come.
This same story again? How many times is Rare going to tell us about it? Show the games.

At some point the PS3 must break the $199 barrier. Maybe a new hardware revision will bring them closer.
Sony realizing that they need to get the devs on-board. Good news. Crazy Ken made good hardware - but left the devs to their own in comparison it seems.
For PS4 Sony can just upgrade the existing tech to be competitive with modern PC specs, focus on devs and we will see a winner...

How many consoles (PS2, XBox, Nintendo GC) combined total at this point in time vs (PS3, XB360, Wii) combined total for year 5 - 6 of the generation?
Did we see a huge or slight increase in the combined generation sales?
My fat model had a YLOD - fixed three times - now dead. The slim model is going strong. In my house the machine gets played +/- 12 hours a day.
I will go for a slimmer PS3 model. Really like having 2 PS3's otherwise I don't get to play.
Fully agree there. Next they will try and tell people that the Kinect camera is better than 4x 1080p 500fps cameras.

Well - If MS sues handset makers to try and extort money out of Android because Windows mobile failed, then I guess if every Tom Dick and Harry sues MS then it is fair. Go go go. Register a worthless patent and go after MS. If they manipulate the system - then go get them.
BTW - The whole software patent system is a whole truckload of steaming doodoo.
Android and Apple will kill the dedicated handheld gaming market. It is inevitable. The pads and phones cover all the technical specs that the handheld devices has - and adds functionality. Why go for a dedicated handheld gaming device if your phone or pad can do the same?
