"Developers shouldn't be allowed to release buggy games"

It's probably returnable at the point of sale, in the EU anyway. I've no idea if it is genuinely bad on PS3 though but if it is properly duffed it should be returnable in most countries (the product is physically not fit for purpose - if it's really buggy or slow), probably impossible to win a case in court over that, unless it's a class action suite; I think BO1 was returnable in the UK if...

Short answer, Mistwalker.

Closed beta, it's not launched. I await my activation code (probably be plenty of them unlike Steam for Linux >_<)

Well, MS started this gen with 20GB drives. There are some small capacity SSDs which are quite cheap, MS could get a good deal on the related tech and bundle them with 360s then charge crazy amounts for a sensible (as in like 100GB) SSD for a "premium" package. That is how spending more to have SSDs would actually make MS money, people won't feel as big a need to upgrade a HDD if it had one instead of a SSD because it should have plenty of capacity right at the start of the gene...

Hmm... so what's going on with Monster Hunter these days then? (I genuinely haven't checked)

@Marlec

They deemed RDR would be too costly to port because the code is very specific for console optimizations, that's about it.

Of course GTAV will appear on PC, why would they simply choose to make less money? (shareholders couldn't give a shit if Take2/Rockstar apparently have a grudge against a group of consumers, also like 99% of developers are PC gamers themselves)
Max Payne 3 (same engine as GTAV) works smoothly on PC and the engine is...

No. Piracy on PC is a lot more accessible.

What is worth noting is that console games are usually leaked first, because the full binary has to be on a DVD during manufacture/shipping whereas most PC games now require online activation if they came on a disk (to acquire a few key parts of the game code, or some other simple DRM) and the activation services are not accessible until T-0. Though this doesn't really have any further implications for the developer's finance...

I could imagine MS and/or Sony agreeing to not allow Take2 to launch on PC because that would hurt the console royalties (a few million people waiting it out, if Take2 refuse then Sony/MS deny it on their platform - both of which will make Take2 more profit than PC sales so the logical result is simply no PC version).

It doesn't make sense that RDR isn't on PC though, it would make more money even if it took a lot of man hours to port, why don't they want more mon...

"For the people who were with them for 10 years, they are getting an Xbox 360 console."
No, only a tiny handful of people because you have to enter a draw for it (so it's random, basically no chance).

Sounds like you want a gaming PC, it'd be a lot cheaper too.

GTA4 on PC probably feels smoother and looks clearer when actually playing the game. They have done very well to get so much detail in the console version this time; it's the merit of improved artistic skills and their engine.

I'm kind of expecting it to be better than SA. They had their time with IV and RDR to flesh out the RAGE engine, V has been quietly stewing at Rockstar North for ages. The style of SA/Los Santos and the grittier way they approached IV should combine well, I hope the driving feels smoother/lighter though.

Hell yeah, sometimes more than newer games.

Edit: for everyone saying FF, good. Tried Lost Odyssey? (I just keep saying this because there are sometimes people who don't know about it who will like it)
