I love Playstation, but I'm not a loyalist, if they released all of their exclusives and jrpgs on pc, I probably wouldn't even buy a Playstation.

I'm not sure how it hurts the ps5 at all. They'll still make all of their announcements, only difference being, they'll have complete control over it. When the console maker that's closing out the gen with over 100 million sales tells you "this isn't going to work anymore", perhaps you should rethink your business strategy.

The whole "anti-consumer" argument completely ignores the fact that these games would never otherwise get made. They're some of the best games of the gen, and people are openly advocating for their abolition.

No, it's bad for E3, no one else, lmao. E3 needs Sony, not the other way around. They'll still announce everything they have to announce, they'll just do it their own way, which is fine by me. Turns out E3 is pretty boring without Sony anyway.
I don't care one way or the other, Sony always had the biggest announcements, those announcements will still happen without e3. I mostly ignored last years e3. E3 needs Sony far more than Sony needs e3.
Yeah, Sony dropped the ball hard at the beginning of ps3 and they still couldn't manage a win. Even the loyalists have kind of given up on the idea.

Until they can find a way to make them viable on consoles, I doubt they'll ever see the success they used to have, unfortunately.
