Some people hated Socom, and I liked it....other love Halo and Modern Warfare 2, I didn't. In most cases, it depends on who's reviewing the games.
If a guy at IGN prefers RPG's, then of course, Final Fantasy is getting a 9.5-10.0 score. Same thing for FPS as well...because any real FPS fan know's that Killzone 2 is at least one of the top 5 FPS ever released on a console. I played MW2, but didn't like it. (MW1 was cool though) I liked Killzone 2 and would like to try this game. I saw stuff off youtube, but no online reviews are in yet. (Gametrailers, IGN, Gamespot...ect.) Let me knwo if I should go guy this today.

I realize that I haven't played it yet, but the hype and footage is all I need to see. All in 2010; Heavy Rain, MAG, GOW3, GT5, Final Fantasy, The Last Gaurdian, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.....GET A PLAYSTATION 3!
Microsoft has been doing this for a while now, but fans of the 360 don't seem to mind paying a lot of "hidden fees"....so that all that matters. MS isn't making people buy 360's, Halo, or other gaming things....just Sony, and Nintendo arn't making people buy their stuff.
Great comment on this. I felt like some of your comments were in my mind...but I don't want to lose bubbles, so I wait for others say what I'm thinking. Pople love MW2 and Halo....mainly because these are pretty easy games to play. YOU don't have to use your mic, or make strategic plans. And yea, I like how in K2 you can link into squads.

I only buy 9 or above games my self. (I don't have money to waste!) And yea, Im PS3 this time round (Got tired of the RROD...5 to be exact. OUCH!), but I did hear the hate on Too Human. Funny thing is, most PS3 fans have never even played that game. I only tlak about stuff I have personally experienced....and I played Mass Effect, so I figured part 2 would be good. The review for MAG however is tricky, becaue this is a new syle of co-op FPS. SocomC got a lower score than I thought it deserved...
JUST KIDDING, but I see what you are getting at. However, don't let developers completly off the hook though. We are still getting overcharged on games & cointent...ESPECIALLY if you have a 360. (Their smaller DVD-9 disk is an excuse to make DLC stuff, and they lose out on exclusives due to the amount of extra work involved with making big games....like MGS4, GOW3, and GT5)

They give give every hyped game a 10, don't they? How about reviewing the damage caused by ALG, somthign more suited for this network. Leave the games to the pro's and gamers.

I thought the Halos, Gears, Modern Warfares, and GTAs got all the shine. Anyway...Halo: Reach (Or any Halo game for that matter) will out sell pretty much any game out there. I am interested in Mass Effect 2, and hope it comes to the PS3 soon. (AND IT WILL COME TO THE PS3.) I feel like a game like Mass Effect is more suited for Playstation gamers, while Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, and Resistance 2 are more like what 360 gamers want. Although I have my opinion, it's best to understand the rules of engaugement. 1st, both of these games are not multiplat. 2nd, the number of sales have it place in debates also. 3rd, online is online, but the numer of players, weponds, lag issues, with games modes needs, to be addressed....BUT NOT THE PRICE FOR ONLINE PLAY. (XBL versus PSN service for setup, has nothing to do with the actual gameplay.)
The causal gamer (Just like with the lazy movie viewers), is big in video games today. Most games like Halo, Modern Warfare, Uncharted 2, and Gears, are taking over the online community. I kind of think people are just hoping to see a PS3 get hacked so bad, that any information is being placed on here. The PS3 is currently untouchable....period. Only the tech. nerds want to read/go through this National Treasure or hide and seek stuff. Until I get confirmed facts, the PS3 is Pirate Prof.
Doesn't matter what pics are shown, the game is going to sell big. (People bought Xbox 360's for this game!) I'm tired of the Halo genre, but do understand it's popularity and fan support. We have all seen/played Halo 3 and ODST. The 360 is doing well, but people should not look at other graphicaly great games to compare Halo to. NO fanboy stuff needed, but the PS3 and PC are both a lot stronger than the Xbox 360. Always on time, and never a unsatisfied customer...that's seems to be Sony's theme. Uncharted 2 was already my most played game from 2009 to now, but with the new charecters...and later, some DLC maps, this game just got HOT...again!
I think Sony will do great....even sale a little more this year, UNTIL "you know who" comes out. Halo has it's fan's and will sell like hotcakes. Most likely, this game will save the 360 in 210...just like Modern Warfare 2 saved it in 2009. If all the Sony exclusives do indeed come out this year, it will be interesting to see if Microsoft can hold off the PS3.
Sony's PS3 had bad press comming from all over the place. I don't know or care if it was an attempt to destroy the PS3 system, but many developers were turned away from Sony. Actually, I don't know why you would alienate a company that sold a "Gazillion" PS1 and PS2's...maybe Microsoft paid a lot of money, that Epic thought was a great deal at the time.

Sony's PS3 dishes out many games, from EVERY genre! Sony also takes risk for their gamers, and the profession of video games...which is why I love the Playstation brand. (Other systems/companies do things also, but Sony goes the extra mile, in my opinion.)
