-On the alt skin issue, we're talking about 14 characters that have this distinction, against the other 44 for a total roster of 58. I believe "rarely" applies to this, but if it bothers you, perhaps I should have used "often" or "usually".
-On BotW Link, as I recall they changed Link's model from Ocarina to Twilight when Brawl was announced, and moves were tweaked accordingly; the same could happen here. I never said it'd be an alt character...
It's more than likely a new game:
1: New Link model... Smash Bros. rarely does alt skins.
2: www.smashbros.com is empty: the information from SSB for Wii U/3DS is gone, replaced with the new logo and trailer.
3:Trademark shows 2018 only. If it was a port, they would have to use 2014. Also it would include Bandai Namco, as they co-developed the last one, but it's nowhere to be seen on the website.

I'm sorry, but that's not right. As much as I like Nintendo, some practices are not good at all. What if you come short on money this month and you need some extra cash? What if you decided to buy another game instead of the one you had pre-ordered? I could go on with other reasons, but I prefer t get to the point.

No matter what anyone says about the game being good or bad, or how it was filled with MT, it's still heartbreaking to see a whole studio being laid off. Specially in this way. Even more considering the date!! I hope this devs find jobs soon, as they really did the best they could to keep the game alive in the past few months.
