Have you tried GamePass? More newer games, day one 1st party games and it includes EA play. I get that it's subjective, but there's more people with GamePass than PS Extra and PS Premium subs for a reason. MS is bleeding a lot of money into it and it shows.
That's not what the articles about, the article author wants it to be included with PS+ Premium, which seems like a bad idea that would only increase the cost of Premium.

I think you're the one misleading people here, PS Essential is not $6.99 a month and Extra is not $11.99 a month. I get that you're trying to make it appear cheaper by trying to factor in a discount rate for buying a year, but a month of Essential is $9.99 and Extra is $14.99. Also you're applying the 12 month rate price to PS Plus and then not doing the same for GamePass. GamePass Core 12 month cards are $60, not $120.
This is 2024, Plus is now slightly more in price.
