They have (and had even more) studios and developers who they don't (didn't) utilize and even closed down.
Microsoft's lack of games isn't due to lack of studios and developers it's due to mismanagement and having a mind set that all they needed was a few big games (Halo Gears and Forza) and that they could let third parties carry them.
Another thing people don't seem to realize is that Microsoft is already making money of these companies games 100% risk free from licensing and selling the games and DLC ect. on Live. Sega is not just Sega, it's a division of Sega Sammy Holdings a multi-billion USD company.
And why do you think they would revive any of those games if Sega themselves don't think they can make money? It's not like Sega can't afford to make those games, they choose not to because the series weren't popular enough to generate a profit to begin with.

While I think the Nintendo hate is stupid. There are a lot of people in this conversation on the Microsoft side who only seem to have anything good to say about Nintendo when it's related to them in some way beating Sony.

That's incorrect CEO is the highest position. Kaz is leaving the day to day work at Sony and becoming a board member. In this position he will be able to vote on things related to Sony (like new ceo's) but won't directly work for Sony.

I agree that it would have been better to have a complete package but how is selling characters much different than say CoD selling map packs?
At least in the case of SF5 they were creating entirely new content not just cutting and pasting an section of a single player map and selling it as "new".

That includes all retail primarily the used market (which is the indie market) because that's what is keeping prices down.

Pretty much what i would expect, Microsoft saying FU we don't care if we hurt the industry as long as we make a profit. And of course the typical spin of saying that other retailers are happy about it, though I have yet to see any report from any big retailer praising this. I find it very hard to believe GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart or any of them are real pleased to be selling less merchandise and to find out that Microsoft is making big steps towards eliminating retail game sale...
Actually in December and January PS4 Pro outsold X on Amazon.
Not to mention that you’re comparing the launch to a console that was on the market for a full year. If you compared both launch months PS4 Pro won that too.
I will laugh so hard if it turns out PS4 has cross platform play with Steam.
