True. Old franchises, though, some of them looking a bit tired in recent entries. Exciting to see big-money new IP.
The return of the JRPG?
I imagine it will take the spot as NEXT YEAR'S best open world RPG, since Fallout is this year ;)
I can get behind 12, though. One of their best!
It's not really clear, but this site is seeing a presentation and speaking to the devs first thing tomorrow morning before E3, so they will find out! They're also accepting question suggestions in the comments of the article.
DA3 was rumoured to be put back, but EA haven't confirmed anything yet - they explain in the comments on the site.
Yeah, basically.
Well, this engine is tech that will then be handed out, so we could see Tomb Raider or Deus Ex or something on it. Some of the tech in here is based off the Hitman engine. So I'll take that, even if SEJ can't release a game on time.
The design of the characters and stuff is great too. Would love this to be a game.
It's not real.
I think with how badly their Japanese arm bombed early this gen with either flops or successes that were far too expensive to develop, their entire focus for the rest of the gen is on the Eidos stuff.
Who'd have thought Eidos would be the dominant force of that company by the end of the gen at the start of it? Crazy.
Question is if the two within a few months of each other will cannibalize both their sales to a degree...?
They've had the install option on 360, so I'm sure DVD or BR they will keep it. Why remove features? Plus, BR has a slower read rate.
Betting this was cancelled.
Visionary, whatever the detractors say. Can't wait to see what he does next.
I'd like to see the TMNT game, but these guys could also do a new IP major justice.
Is 8/10 really a bad score?
Also, worth noting - you can change the Chocobo song in XIII-2 - it's mentioned in the review.
Type-0 is really the one to watch, hopefully it comes West/to Vita
Phoenix Wright translation is god-like for sure.
It... it's an RPG by the definition of the developer... and, er... it's made in Japan. It's a JRPG.
That aside, if you read the article they talk in some fair detail about what makes it a 'full' JRPG. It has action combat, but that doesn't necessarily diminish it.
