Are we still doing the thing where we act like we are part of Sony? First, that's boxed copies. I cant remember the last boxed game I purchased. Second, I just finished the game. It's not for everyone. Yes, it does look great but, remember how excited people were for R&C last gen? Me neither...Maybe they just like the Switch better.
Sony themselves created the narrative that cross-hen is bad and now people are upset. Cross-gen is perfectly fine, makes sense and actually respects the $ you’ve already spent in the older consoles. I don’t care that a game loads in 2 seconds vs 20.
Fell for the hype and paid $70. Way overrated...Going back to Tsushima...
Yes, I can. Maybe most console gamers can’t, but PC gamers absolutely can.
The game is getting a hard “exclusive” bump. Had it been multiplat we wouldn’t be talking about it. And no, the visuals do not look like anything that needs to render at 1080P. I have a PS5; best game so far is Tsushima@60FPS. If you’re enjoying it, good for you, but don’t make it into the masterpiece it isn’t, and definitely not for $70.
I think it disappeared with the magical SSD that was going to somehow make games look better on PS5...
I have a PC, Ryzen, 32 gigs of ram, 6800 card...and it dips. Completely normal.
Horizon ZD is my favorite in the last 10 years. That being said, the thought of playing CP2077, CoD and AC Valhalla on the best performing console is enough for me. Add to that Game Pass and, frankly, these writers/reviewers need to catch up with the times. It’s not just about the exclusives. Even without Halo, it’s an excellent product and a compelling gift during the holidays. Miles Morales can’t make up for 100+ games plus all the EA content.
That’s Sony bullying the little guy. There’s no way a faceplate will be considered an intellectual property. That’s just like saying the same for cell phone cases. Note that the first issue was the website and then they looked for something else.
Not playing anything @30FPS anymore. BTW, 45 and 50FPS is a thing...
You have a deadline. You crunch to meet the deadline. Like everyone that has a job with deadlines.
I think it's coming. Imagine FORZA in VR!
I own a Vive AND a Rift since day 1. Racing simulator setup and all, VR is a gimmick and definitely a niche market. Wii, Kinect, etc. was kinda fun because everyone got to play. No one likes watching someone wearing VR headsets in the living room. 3 years later, even dedicated VR channels are hanging the gloves. It works; we’re not ready.
Yes, it's overpriced right now. Come the holidays, they can sell it for $170 or below. Thats the strategy. They don't actually want to kill the "disked" one, hence the close price. It's basically an experiment to see how it works (ahead of the next gen).
It’s selling quite well. Buyers know what they’re getting. It’s a revamped console not a new platform. If people are ok with Forza 7, Gears and playing older game should in 4K, good for them.
It hasn’t materialized because it is a waste of resources for MS. They’ve shown just enough interest to demonstrate they’re in the game, but not enough to be blamed for its failure.
Keep in mind he's talking about PCARS2 in general, not just for consoles. PCARS1 VR racing is second to none.
DriveClub = 30FPS on fake tracks. Many Forza, Assetto and PCAR tracks are laser scanned. There is barely any realism in DriveClub, which belongs in the same group as Need for Speed, etc.
You lead the title of the article with the second best selling console for the month?
They removed the Blast Processor. Not needed with FSR.
