720p to 1080p with a small screen is unnoticeable. But 1080p to 1200p or even 1600? Yeah, major difference there buddy. It could be the smallest of screens, there is a difference.
I'm currently using a 24" 1920x1200 native screen and it bothers my eyes until I turn down the res on my games. After years my eyes still aren't used to it.
Did I say cheevos? (Well there were 1000points) Trophies came in August the next year. Hardly any incentive for those who played and finished it day 1.
