You can't review something that's not there. Reviews are meant to help consumers assess a product before they purchase it.
It's not the fault of reviewers if DriveClub's weather is unaccounted for. If reviews praise Forza's weather effects, that's because it is available to review.
It's difficult today with patches and DLC support that improves games past the date of a review... but people looking to criticize reviewers for failin...

That's because of the DLC splitting the whole community. You're not going to get that improved unless the maps become free and everyone is back together again.
Well, let's hope paying $50 for MP will deter those people.
Sony needs to ban accounts for hacking. I recall playing hacked games, but I actually quit because of laggy matchmaking, which was worsened by the huge division of the community caused by DLC
The best they can do is second place, which wouldn't be bad by any means.
MK8 got it a big sales boost, SSB will do the same, as will Zelda. And if they can continue to bring out the exclusives (Super Mario, Animal Crossing, Metroid, Pokemon), they can easily keep a good pace.
I love Nintendo exclusives, and I'd love a good comeback from them.

That's not true this gen, nor was it true last gen, considering Uncharted and LoU were P2P. It matters more to me this gen since I'm paying for PS+
XBL has definitely improved on the "free" games front. Sony had a rocky start with that too, but it's good to see both services grow to where they are.
Sony really did a great job with the concept of PS+, and it's amazing to see how competition ends up helping all consumers.

The idea is that the focus is on the visuals and sound. There's also a second half to the ad that would make this fanmade ad feel fuller, but it was put together really fast.
IMO, this is what Driveclub needs to do over the traditional ads most games have. A lot of people had a hard time believing the rain gameplay was from a videogame, so they should use that to their advantage.
This is truly the first time this generation (outside of Uncharted) that I'm said to myself "this is next gen"
Every other game so far has felt okay, but this truly feels next gen.

I really like the update pushed by Tommas (on your forums) who suggested adding a friend's high score to be "chased" after in the HUD. It's little things like that that can push the competitive addictiveness and simulate the arcade feeling people used to admire

When a demo is shown/played, the developer is choosing to showcase what a game is about. It's not the fault of those who have played/seen it if they have criticisms for the game. If you have a problem with negative press, you should have a problem with the positive too. And in that case, what's the point of reading impressions/having demos in the first place?Not all games are going to leave sure impressions.

The problem with a Polygon-style review system is that often times, the initial score is what most people remember. It's also a really slippery slope of games constantly needing updates, and it even excuses launch games that may or may not be made to the best of a developer's ability.
