Rio game gets trailer and screenshots

THQ has released a batch of screenshots and a trailer for Rio, a party game based on the 3D animated film set for cinemas next month.

The family-friendly fun of the Rio film is adapted for this colourful package of mini-games along with a story-based progression of challenges.

There are 40 mini-games in total with six playable characters featuring from the film: Blu, Jewel, Pedro, Nico, Raphael, and Eva.

Rio from the makers of Ice Age is a movie tie-in party game from the same name which includes over forty mini-games using six playable characters, Blu, Jewel, Pedro, Nico, Raphael, and Eva in a brightly coloured action packed Carnival theme. Although also on PlayStation 3 and Wii, the Xbox 360 version has three additional exclusive mini-games.

In-depth Review: Rio - Electronic Theatre

Given the game’s reliance on competition, it’s a great shame that Rio doesn’t include any online gameplay. Though it offers drop-in gameplay for up to four players on a single system, the only use of the PlayStation Network Rio makes is that of the now essential Trophies.
