Ian Fisher writes: Gamers who decide to purchase Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition will find an additional piece of goodness – an access code for the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club. Those who get access to Duke’s special club will get access to special goodies, the highlight of which is the Duke Nukem Forever demo.
Duke Nukem Forever originally began its life as a sidescroller instead of a shooter back in 1996, and that canceled version has just been leaked.

kinda of a misleading title.
Mod features:
Sprinting removed and faster player movement
Jump height increased
Swim speed is much faster
Player can now hold breath underwater for 45 seconds instead of 15
Weapon rebalance and screen shake when shooting removed
2/4 weapon limit completelly removed
Quicksaves (F5 by default)
Depth of Field removed and new post processing effects
Driving sections are now in first person perspective

It is pretty amazing, I remember being so hyped that they covered the Duke theme back when it happened haha. I still quite enjoyed Forever though personally.

Wow, that advanced lighting makes a huge difference to the visuals. I get that Gearbox tried to slap everything together and release a finished product. But it seems like they cut out a lot of content that would have made the experience more enjoyable. That's a shame.
Same, the AI could be pretty dumb but the bosses were fun. I thought the levels (mostly) got better later in the game too.
So basically I've got to pay the full price of a game for a demo?
Forget that, not that I'm not buying DNF on day one, but that's greedy.
This offer is in addition to a ton of other things that will be included in the GOTY edition. Furthermore, the article says that it will give people early access to the demo, not exclusive access. The implication being that the demo will be released to the general public after first being released to the members of the First Access Club.
On what planet was Borderlands "Game of the Year"? I don't recall even seeing it nominated on any gaming sites. The standards for naming a game GOTY are really slipping.
Maybe if i can find a code really cheap on ebay ill get it but besides that i can wait a little bit to play it.
