I hate to agree with you, but I do. I hated the music and the lack of a fantasy setting. The story and characters were terrible, but the mechs were pretty awesome, though I didn't have the patience to unlock on.

Which media outlet should we take seriously then? All reviews are opinions. If a game people happen to like doesn't match a review's opinion then they are criticized for being biased or not a major media outlet. So now it matters for which outlet you work before being considered to be a credible gamer to make credible reviews. How sad!

i'm not gonna let a "slightly less than stellar score of what i expected" review stop me from playing a game i waited 10 years to play.. i'm still gonna enjoy the game alot personally.. years ago people said that FF12 was terrible.. but i poured in over 100 hours of my life playing it and i love the fuck outta it and have absolutely no regret and still gonna buy the HD remaster

Wow am I the only one that preferred the old turn based combat ? I hated the combat in 12, it got worse in 13...I like this more actiony kind of combat more for games like Mass Effect.

FF12 was great, especially hunting down those Zodiacs within this huge game world, I introduced my sister and fiance to the game(their 1st FF game) and they ended up spending over a 180 hour's in it, there's just so much to find and discover, almost a Japanese Skyrim if you will.

It's funny how people used to piss on FFXII back in the day and even a while after its release, but now everyone's excited for the HD remaster. XII was indeed great and by far one of the best open worlds in the franchise. I myself had over 200 hours across three saves, all of them with the team ready to embark the Bahamut. The thing is, since Final Fantasy is always evolving with each new entry, there will always be someone who will say the newest one is crap.

yea, pretty much. I'm looking at all the reviews across the board. I told myself i wouldn't preorder it, just like I'm not preordering the last guardian. No Man's Sky still lingures in my mind and I don't want to get burnt again.

As long as this has an average of 8 ill pick it up at some point. To be completely honest I'm disappointed already. The games been in development for 10 years. I expected a masterpiece, not a "good game" Hence why I am saving my pennies for now.

No offence to the OP, but I could setup a website in 20 mins, have a quick design for it made, post some articles... then write my clickbait review and post it up on N4G within the hour.

This is a blog, bad reviews generate hits, people want FFXV to fail, to get awful reviews... It's the cool thing to do! If this guy legit feels this way about the game, then so be it... bu ti know people who hate a million games I love! It can even go as deep as somebody preferring FF13 due to its soundtrack or something, if the game doesn't feel right for guy A, it doesn't mean guy B will feel the same!

And btw, this doesn't mean you should believe IGN or other "official" websites! But I can assure you all, every single pre review, ever single player who got to play this before release, by a large margin has nothing but positive things to say. The battle system is accessible If not a tiny bit shallow, this will be my only main concern in the game

Game is great, looks amazing, is pretty fun. Lots things to do (world is bigger then GTA V and The Witcher 3)...and I haven't noticed even one bug so far....spend about 25h so far. For now for me is a strong 9/10...could be more but only one weakness I found are side quests, they are pretty silly..but Monster Hunt reward, they are fun and is plenty of them.

Combat is fantastic. I really enjoy new combat system. Much evolve XII and XIII because is more dynamic and "COOL" thanks to link attacks.
When you hold attack button Noctis can do amazing stuff like in the Dragon Ball...charging the enemies without even touching ground..looks really cool.
They should keep this system in FFVII Remake.

Your review contains some very silly mistakes that can hurt your reputation such as "There’s many features about the game" and "Final Fantasy XV is finally here after many years of waiting, for some it’s been ten long years of waiting." Just remember that this game was in the oven for essentially a decade under a different name. There was simply no way this title could live up to the astronomical hype set out for it. Unfortunately, I believe the same is true of The Last Guardian. Those reviews will probably mention how it's disappointing considering how long we've waited. I'm so glad my tastes are more niche because people generally don't hype up the games I love. People are collectively indifferent to the things I like so I never really have to worry.

People need to look at games in the now and stop considering how long it was in development. Doesn't matter. It's finally coming out. Ask yourselves if you enjoyed it and try to ignore previous knowledge of it. Just another reason I largely ignore new game footage from upcoming titles.
