Kotaku writes: Sales were up at Take-Two Interactive, thanks to sales of games like Grand Theft Auto IV and Midnight Club: Los Angeles, but the publisher saw losses also increase to the tune of $15 million.
The company pointed to two other titles, NBA 2K9 and Carnival Games as leaders for the quarter, laying out its fiscal 2009 game plan. That includes two batches of Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable episodes due by October 31, 2009, one of which has already been announced and dated. The company boasted that more than 3 million games in the Carnival Games series have been shipped.
Take-Two list the PlayStation 3 as its biggest revenue generator on the publishing side, with 35% of the quarterly take. That beats out the Xbox 360, which brought in 28% of its publishing dollars, and the Wii, at 11%.
For the entire fiscal year, Take-Two brought in $1.5375 billion in revenue, with $97.1 million in net revenue. That's much better than the company's 2007, when it raked in $981.8 million, resulting in a loss of over $138 million.
BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.
Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."
Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.
Super Mario 64 DS was offered as a launch title for the Nintendo DS, a remake of the classic platform game with a few original tricks.
Needs more appreciation. I never had an N64 so this was what I played. Sure the Yoshi hat mechanic at first is a slog but you unlock Mario and the others for real and then it takes off. Personally I never had an issue with the controls. Can't forget the mini games and the 4 player rumble over download play.

They aren't going to give more. We are talking about a company that has rereleased an 13 year old game at least 5 times.
well i guess T2 joins the likes of EA, Ubisoft, Konami, and Namco Bandai. i was kinda suprised when i saw ,ore gta4s on 360 then ps3.
Playstation 3 is healthier than ever and 2008 is indeed the year of PS3. PS3 owners are buying more software across all publishers, 360 owners are not buying enough games period. The RROD is affecting 360 gamers purchases after all and it seems it's why this vicious Sony attack is occuring: to cover it up.
....that picture doesnt make sense.
That leg is just in a weird position.
wow you guys are retarded, the EA numbers were fake, 360 made EA more money then Ps3 + psp + ps2 + Wii combined. As for take two numbers it's because Bioshock Ps3 just came out.
bu bu bu... how is that possible the 360 is selling more... ;_;
