It is a type of rendering resolution that is different to native 1800p but results in a better performing 1800p resolution that is then upscaled to 4K on your TV. So the process is 1800 CB -> 4k. They can also go for native 1800p but in that case, the frame rate will dip below 30 fps and hence not ideal.

This just shows the potential with unlocked frame rate and shows that 30 fps locked is possible.

The second point clearly says 'New Items and Cutscenes'

Yes, this seems more likely here.

@kingthrash360: You answered it clearly. Visuals fall under IQ but they alone don't make up the Image Quality. In short, IQ doesn't refers to visuals alone, it refers to the resolution and the visual quality. So when this article's title refers to the visuals and resolution separately, it is correct. The title doesn't say the IQ is similar, because this would be wrong. The IQ is better on the PS4 because of the higher resolution. The visuals are pretty much identical though, f...

IQ or image quality refers to resolution/visuals while visuals can refer to graphical effects.

Sorry, it was a typo. This basically means the game won't be native 4K. Rendering mode can be any like the checkerboard rendering or geometry rendering that is used by many games. They can also utilize their own custom rendering mode for uscaling to 4K like with Ratchet and Clank.

Update game to version 1.12 and then you can buy the XL version for 25 usd. If you don't, you still get improved net code, new stage and some other uodate related stuff.

If you buy The Witcher 3 from retail, you will have to download approximately 17GB+ of patches before you can play the game. I mean you can play it unpatched but there is no guarantee if the save data will work with the latest patched version.

Can't wait for the 10th patch to finally fix the performance issues, 6 months after release.

You wan them to release an unfinished game like MGSV?

Those who can download it now will be lucky since the servers will likely suffer at launch, and the download speed will be slow.

Do you have 9 gb less hard disk space? If so, you have it downloaded.

Are you serious? The PS4 version is already being livestreamed on Twitch and reviewers are also playing their copies on PS4. The PC version won't be out until November and it is exclusive to Steam, so how can one play it before release?
