I think lower specs may be a worry for some devs since downscaling a game from the PS4/X1 version isn't as straight forward as it seems. But Nintendo systems are easy to develop for so we will see if its specs have any impact on third party support.

I think Sony's open ended policy towards indies since 2013 is still working for them. Although Microsoft have relaxed a lot of requirements on the indie front but what do they say..."first impression is the last impression." Having said that MS still has a good indie line up compared to the launch year.

The Medium post (which was deleted later on) explicitly mentioned that Death Stranding will come to PC at a later stage. The title is still a console exclusive unless Sony or Kojima productions puts out an update stating that this is a completely PlayStation exclusive.

Yes, he is been right on so many occasions. That guy has some insane level of connections in the industry.

This game looks amazing, right Abraiel?

I believe this actually happened. He must have saw the tech of Naughty Dog but was amazed by its power so he left it as is :D

It reduces budget several more than the figure you mentioned. Furthermore, the game will be developed quickly since the tools and framework will already be set. However the game won't come out anytime before 2018....in fact I will shocked (in a good way) if it releases in 2017.

I think we are going to see some good stuff this time. Possibly The Last of Us 2, Death Stranding, Borderlands 3, Mass Effect Andromeda (this is confirmed), Prey 2 (also confirmed)....i know this is a dream list but it can happen. Since Kojima and Gearbox are attending the show.

Indeed he has made some great contributions to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro but I am not sure how he is the "The Renaissance Man" of gaming. He is indeed very talented but I don't think developing good hardware equates to renaissance in video games. Honestly, that title should only be reserved for someone who has made progression in gameplay.

There is much power under the hood of the PS4 Pro but the lack of exclusives for that specific platform may stop games from truly shining.

I think people are holding on for PRO. Once that is released, November's NPD numbers are surely going to be interesting.

Umm....gta 4 was not terrible.

As a package, how is it different from Battlefield 4?

Great review, btw.

I think PSVR will also be one of the factors. I recently bought one and it has a ton of potential (some weird feeling, blurred image and poor anti-aliasing aside).

If they can somehow optimize VR games with PS4 Pro, and have more than a dozen killer apps, I think VR can prolong PS4's sales and life cycle.

Uncharted 4, more or less, ditched its linearity with its open level design. Gears of War 4 is still largely the same from a level design perspective, however there are some massive open levels later in the game. I think it will be unfair to compare both of them.

Different games have different rendering budgets. A character model in a linear game (like The Order 1886) may look amazing and an open level game may have amazing physics something a game with linearity may not ha...

Yes, for the rest of 2016, the Xbox One is a better choice. But who really knows for 2017, Sony seems to have a ton of games lined up for the PS4.

What was Sony's comment on this matter?

Well, next year Crackdown 3 is coming.

Yep one of the best looking open world games so far.

Yep I meant spin off. Not rip off. Regardless it's your opinion. For me, if it's a new game, it needs to have new maps.
